So You Rich? [Takeomi]

Everyone is always stunned or gushing when they witness Takeomi trying to give you his black card. Watching as the man encourages you to buy whatever your heart desires. "You deserve this, go treat yourself" he says, knowing you wouldn't refuse the card in front of strangers. Hearing them talk about how lucky you are to have someone spoiling you like that.

Little do they know, the fucking card declined for the second time that month. The only reason you take the card in front of people is to avoid Takeomi making a fuss about it later. Last time you refused to take the card he accused you of trying to embarrass him in front of his boys or whatever.

He oughta thank god you weren't with him for the money, lord knows you would've left his broke ass a long time ago. There's no reason he's part of Bonten but has less money than a part-time cashier at McDonald's. The only reason you tried to make it work was because you had been with him for almost six years.

When he told you Senju wanted him to be an advisor for her new gang Brahman you didn't think much of it. As the money came in, you noticed his greed started to come back little by little. The most frustrating part was that he had just admitted to going in debt like four months ago, so why was he running through the money?

Then he told you that Brahman had disbanded, which means that money isn't going to be the same for a minute. But don't worry! Bonten had recruited him as their advisor. The money is bound to come back again. In the meantime he expects you to dip into your savings and make things happen.

Now an argument about who is more at fault ensues and Takeomi rants about how he isn't perfect! That he does this shit to give you a better life, one that you deserve! You had told him earlier in the relationship that growing up your family was poor. He loves to mention this during your arguments or whenever you question his choices.

Why? You know the answer, but it was weird since you weren't reckless with your money. You actually put it towards your savings and investing, never wanting to lose your financial stability. Now he's pissed because you're "bragging" to him about your smart choices.

Takeomi was right though. That Bonten check came around and it was much more than he used to make, he couldn't have been more excited. The arguments stop completely since the money is back, he's too busy thinking about what he could do now that it's here. Suddenly saying it's "our" money and that "our" future is going to be better now that it's here.

So of course, when Takeomi catches you during your lunch break he's happy to hand you his black card. Telling you to buy whatever your heart desires because you deserve this. You still roll your eyes after he leaves because there's no signs of him learning his lesson. He's sure to be right back where he was all those years ago.
