Mackenzie and the Holocaust

Trouble

So Mackenzie decided to continue visiting Matthius when ever she could get oht of the house. She would usually bring him a little snack since he always seemed to be so hungry. One day she was coming home from visiting him ,and she had just walked into the living room happy as can be when she realized she wasn't alone.
Her mom Maria was sitting in the lounge chair doing the daily crossword in the newspaper. "So where have you been miss?" asked her mother in somewhat of a tone were she new where she had been but wanted to see what she would say. Mackenzie who was now panic stricken said "No where important mom just exploring a little." "Is that so Mackenzie if so could you please explain to me what you found while you were exploring today?" asked Maria "Well... I was walking and I saw a little stream and i followed it and I found a little pond that had fish in it so I decided on my way back if i ever went back there again I would bring a piece of bread to feed the fish with." Mackenzie answered wondering if it was convincing enough. "Is that so...well then be off with you I believe you have some studying to do." And that was that Mackenzie knew she was going to have to be more careful about going to visit Matthius because she knew she couldn't keep lieing to her mom because her mom wasn't someone to be fooled more than a few times on the same topic.
So Mackenzie decided that to stay on the safe side of things she would go study because she knew her tutor would be able to tell if she hadn't and she had a big test coming up this week and she couldn't afford to fail it.
