Chapter one, a new face.
"Flora!!" a voice called out from the distance. Flora didn't exactly have time to think before Damon rudely interrupted her thoughts. Damon was her second husband, not by choice. She's not supposed to bring up the first one, but lets just say he didn't treat her right. She met Damon about a year ago, he was so..-
"Flora Rivers, I will not ask again" Damon demanded, sounding like he was her father. Flora rolled her eyes at him, and smirked.
"Yesss?" Flora asked, wrapping her arms around him. She stared into those beautiful brown eyes of his and smirked again. Damon left a quick kiss on her lips and dropped her arms to her side. Damon looked at her with that stupid look of his that would drive any girl insane, but Flora always just found it irritating.
"Listen Flora, I have work but a new... guest will be stopping by later." Damon explained, adjusting his tie in the mirror.
"A new guest?" Flora asked him. Damon looked at her, then his watch and mumbled something under his breath.
"I'll see you tonight hon, I'm off."
Damon left.
Flora stood there pondering her thoughts as she heard the doorbell ring.
Did Damon forget something? Why would he come back so soon? Is he okay? These thoughts flooded her head, louder then all the others.
"Just a minute!" She called out, gathering her things. She had just woken up and there was a lot to be done. She hurried to her closet and picked out a blue dress fitted with diamonds on every part. She hated to keep whoever was at the door waiting, but she had to look her best. Damon would not approve of Flora greeting someone in the clothes she had slept in. She fixed her hair, thrown on her shoes and ran downstairs.
"Coming!!" She called out again. Usually, Flora wouldn't be so clumsy but Damon thought it was a wonderful idea to fire all the maids and servants. Apparently he had a change of heart, and didn't think he should be using people in that way. Flora on the other hand loved having someone do everything for her, it was rather.. annoying having to fix herself each time.
The person who was patiently waiting began to angrily knock. Flora dashed to the front door, avoiding all the hallways she's never once stepped into. She opened the door gently, trying to not mess up her freshly done manicure.
"I'm so sorr-" Flora started to say, but was cut off from the mans delightful looks Infront of her.
"Hello Mam, you must be Flora Rivers." He said, smiling at Flora. His eyes focused on her face then slightly lowering themselves to her lips. Flora blushed, he was beautiful.
"and you must be...?" Flora asked, staring into the mans eyes.
"Oh my apologies, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Arrow Evergreen, or well you will know me as your new butler!" He chuckled.
Arrow Evergreen, a brown haired man with a mysterious gleam in his eye.
"M-my butler?" Flora stuttered, confirming what he said was true.
"Mhm! Now Lady Flora, may I please come inside?" He chuckled again. Flora never had a thing for pet names, but when Arrow said something involving her name it was almost.. different.
