Author note: I wanted to include this song, cause I feel like they'd both listen to it on repeat.
It was Friday; the week had flown by. The dark bags under my eyes made them heavy. I was losing sleep over this. So, I asked Tex to meet me under the jacaranda tree after school. Our normal spot. I sat down, leaning my head back against the tree. I wasn't really prepared for this. I had no clue what to say. Or how he'd react.
"What's up with you lately?" Tex asked, sitting down next to me. The circles under his eyes as dark as mine. "You've been acting off."
I bit down on my lip, "You know the thing you said the other day?" My voice began to shake, and my knee bopped up and down.
He looked at me, a confused look on his face. "I said a lot of things the other day."
"About me having Anxiety?" No eye contact was made between us, and I thought that would make it better. It didn't. I let out a long sigh, starting to tear up. My chest aching as I spoke. "I, I think that's what's wrong with me."
