I forgot to mention -- I know that in the last book I let you choose your age, but for the sake of this story you're about 20.
You had barely stepped off of the plane before you were enveloped in a giant hug.
"Welcome back, Lady (Y/L/N)! Long time, no see!" Thor's deep voice boomed.
"Hey, Thor!" you replied, struggling for breath as he squished your lungs together. "I didn't realize you would be back for the summer."
"Yeah, well, duty calls. You puny humans can't take on the big threats by yourself," he bragged, probably referring to the time the universe would have gotten wiped out by Thanos had it not been for him. Luckily all of the Infinity stones had been destroyed, so the chance of a threat like that happening was pretty low.
"Oh, yeah? What 'big threat' brings you to Earth?" you asked him.
"Nothing that needs to be discussed right now," he said, moving his hands in the air, so as to completely wave the question out of the air. "Besides, the rest of the family will want to see you."
As you stepped into the Avengers HQ, you couldn't help but awe at the upgrades Tony had made. The place was much larger and more modern, with tall white walls and rich black tiles. Regardless of the numerous Agents walking around with tablets, using holographic tables, and the hissing of doors opening and closing, this place still felt like home.
"Hey, welcome home (Y/N)!"
You turned around and grinned at the familiar voice. Tony was walking over to you with his wife, Pepper.
"Welcome back, sweetie," Pepper smiled, giving you a small kiss on the cheek. However, when she pulled back, her hands went immediately back to her stomach, where a small bump had begun to form. For such a thin woman, that was odd.
Your eyes opened in realization, "You never told me you were pregnant!"
Pepper smiled. "I'm not very far along. I figured it out a couple of days ago but figured I would wait to tell you until you got home from Wakanda. I didn't want to pull you away from your studies, which you'll have to tell us all about, by the way."
You nodded. "How do you feel about becoming a dad?" you teased, poking Tony in the side.
"I'm very calm," he said, not leaving Pepper inches away from his grasp throughout the conversation.
"Liar," you laughed. Tony was going to be an amazing dad, and you knew that from experience. He was practically your dad, and he was one of the best father figures you'd ever had.
"I'm not lying," he said, ruffling your hair. "Besides, the kid is going to have very protective Aunts and Uncles to protect him or her 24/7."
"You bet," another voice replied. You looked past Tony's shoulder to see Steve, Sam, and Bucky walking over to you.
You practically tripped over yourself running over to the guys. You loved all of the Avengers, of course, but these guys had supported you in the really tough times. Of all of the Avengers, these were the ones you would turn to first if you were ever in trouble.
"Glad to have you back, (Y/N)" Steve said, giving you a firm handshake and a warm smile. He never did shake the mannerisms of the 1900s. He walked over to Tony to tell him something, leaving you with Sam and Bucky.
"What have you two been up to?" you asked them.
They looked at each other.
"Therapy," they said at the same time.
"Therapy?"
You thought it would have been something more interesting, like a specific story or a funny prank. Maybe even a TV series they'd gotten into. Definitely not therapy, even if all of the Avengers probably could use some.
