CHAPTER 1: I Got An Idea!

Luna's point of view

I ran to the guild eager to take on a job request, heart aflutter with a new adventure. My brown boots pounding and my pink hair flying in the wind. I was wearing my blue and yellow top with my new black skirt with a brown belt and had my dad's old wristband on my left hand. When I reached the guild I was surprised to see that it was so empty. Typically the place is bustling with the sound of laughter or at the very least the clashing of heads. Some people present are those of the acclaimed new generation, the offspring of the wizards of the greatest guild in history. In the far-off corner sat Gale Redfox the eldest of us all, descendent of the iron dragon slayer Gajeel and kindhearted bookworm Levy Mcgarden. Beside his side was Reiki Fernandez as well as the devil queen Nova Dreyar, the only one missing from this group was my elder brother Nash who was currently at home sleeping in. Near the request board, I steadily approached sat the strongest members of the new generation that I call my team. Storm Fullbuster is an ice maker mage, Rin Fullbuster is an earth magic user, Sylvia Fullbuster is a water mage, and Rosemary Fernandez prodigy of requip as well as energy manipulation. Then there's me, Luna Dragneel, daughter of salamander and fire dragon slayer. Typically, we would decide on a request together but taking a collective break for this long following our last adventure has got me itching.  Steadily I approached the board, a mere two feet away was when Evelyn Strauss wedged into my line of sight.  The smell of her was enough to irritate me, let alone her obnoxious attitude; an occurrence I often try to avoid. 

"What are you doing dragon slayer?" Evelyn asked tone tinted with malice and false superiority. 

"What's it to ya she-beast?" I retorted annoyance building quickly within me at her unwanted appearance. 

"Well, it looked like you were going to take a request all by your lonesome."

"Still don't see how that's any of your business."

"I'm just looking out for the guild's reputation is all, can't have a weakling like you ruining the guild's name like your dumb father."

"What did you say?"

"Oh my mistake, let me dumb it down for you Dragneel. I don't want a weakling like you taking a request by yourself dirtying the guild's name. Everyone knows that Dragneels can't do it alone, heck your Dad can't complete an S-quest by himself let alone a regular one."

"You take that back." I seethed, body shaking with intense rage and deadly intent. 

"I guess what I'm saying is the trash doesn't fall that far from the trash can." With the utterance of those words, a thin string within me snapped. I lifted my fist fire engulfing as my rage built, however, the sudden cool touch retracted my attack. Glancing back my gaze met a pair of dark blue pools, the eyes of the often level-headed and sickly cool guy Storm Fullbuster. I attempted to jerk from within his cold grasp, mind reeling with rage and filled with the sound of my rapid heartbeat. Searching deep within his gaze, it became apparent the words he was conveying beyond speech itself; she isn't worth it. I clenched my teeth and bitterly turned away avoiding the further lecture of his gaze. Resigning to the fact that Storm was correct, I pushed past him struggling to put out the internal fire within me. 

"That's what I thought, always someone coming to your rescue. Good thing too, you almost started something you would regret." 

"Damn your voice is annoying! I'll say this only once, I didn't stop Luna for her sake, I was saving you from the embarrassment of a beat down. Ya got it, She-beast?" Storm stated his usually light tone, looming with anger the opposite of his usual cool guy demeanor. The sight of such rattled me, it's not often Storm loses his cool but when he does it is a force to be reckoned with. As we walked towards the table where the rest of the team sat, it was hard to contain the laughter. Soon I myself found laughter erupting as the past feelings of anger were momentarily replaced with joy.
