The legend of the curse // 7

Storm's point of view

When I stepped off the train I immediately felt the gloom all around me. I then started walking around till I found a pub. The pub was dingy and the men inside seemed to be in a depressive state. I went to sit at the booth and right away everyone looked at me curiously.

"What do you want stranger?"

"One beer." I answered while holding up one finger to put further emphasis on my answer.

"Coming right up. So what brings you too Tellion friend?"

"A girl." I answered, and at that moment anyone with their head down lifted their head up and stared right at me.

"Well son you won't have much luck here."

"Why would that be?" I asked confused by his weird statement. 

"Well, it's an old legend from centuries ago. Back then it was only once a year but over the years it's gone from years to months to weeks to even days."

"What is this legend?"

"That centuries ago a curse was placed on this wretched place. It was 632 when this town was founded by non-wizards when one day a dark wizard with a tattoo on their right arm attacked the town but there was only one among them with the power to stop it the women of light. She was still not strong enough just before she died she said " I will not die I will be reborn again and seek you out and destroy you. Even then, not even END will be able to stop me." She then was turned into stone and the dark wizard disappeared but ever since that day any women of the proper age with powers are turned to stone." I was a little bit put off my usual coolness; I had no idea what came over me. Fear, I think it was fear that I was too late that Luna was gone. I was almost on the verge of tears when the bartender spoke again.

"Lucky for you no one was turned into stone last night since it came 3 days ago and won't strike till at least tomorrow." When I heard this my heart skipped a beat I got out of my seat and paid for my drink and left. I made my way towards the huge house in the back of the town. When I reached the door to the mansion I could feel this gloomy atmosphere that once again put me off my cool. If I was Luna I would go here first. I knocked on the door, but no answer came so I decided to push on the door and it opened without effort. As I stepped in I heard some voice that I knew all too well. I started to follow it, and it led me to this huge door, and I once again pushed it open except this time it took more effort than the first.

"I wish storm was here....." I heard and I knew right away who it was. Luna Dragneel my best friend.

"Hey, flame brain your wish came true." I said, and she did a complete 180-degree turn and screamed at the same time.

"Storm. What the hell are you doing here? And please tell me that you didn't hear that."

"I'm here to bring you home, and if I knew you would miss me so much Dragon breath I would've been here sooner." Then I saw her face get tomato red and I couldn't help but laugh at her.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing it's just I haven't seen you like that for a long time. Well back on to business it's time to leave." I went to grab her hand but she backed away.

"I'm not leaving I'm going to complete this s-class request and prove that I'm strong and don't need someone to rescue me all the time."

"Luna do you have any idea what this curse does?"

"Yeah. It turns people into stone.."

"Not just regular people women, and on occasion women wizards."

"Well, then the easier it is too trap it and kill it."

"Are you insane I'm not going to let you put yourself out there as bait you 're going to get yourself killed."

"You don't know that, and why do you care anyway?" That last part startled me why do I care. Then something snapped and what I said next was a shock even to me.

"Idiot I care because your my best friend the only person I can talk to about my fears, and weaknesses. If you would die I couldn't even face your dad or anyone not even myself. Do you think by dying you will be making your father, and mother proud Fairy tail wizards. So please don't do this."
