It's time for school. I won't even pretend to be excited. It's my first day of 10th grade at Winchester High School. I learned that in Winchester no one likes me. 9th grade was horrible. I get up and get ready as quickly as I can, hoping to get out of the house before my mom wakes up. As I walk outside I try to speak to my mom, just as I do everyday.
"Bye Mom," I say
"Shut up stupid kid, can't you see I'm busy!" Mom screams. I cringe at her words. Sure I hear those words everyday, but the sting never goes away. I walk out of the house, where Mariah is waiting for me and we head to school. I take a deep breath before entering the school, preparing for the endless insults. I can handle most bullies, but not Abbey Lawrence. We were friends in elementary school, she knows everything about me. I'm not sure what happened to us. Right then I see Abbey making confident strides towards me.
"Hey Aubrey," Abbey sneers, "did you have a good summer, do lots of stuff with your mom?"
"Just leave me alone, alright!" I exclaim, holding back tears.
"Oh look, a crybaby"
Abbey shoves me against a locker and knocks my backpack out of my hands. Then her boyfriend, Bryan, strolls up. She puts on an angelic smile and they skip away hand in hand. Mariah helps me up and we dash off to English class. Great it's on the other side of the school. We run to class and take  our seats. It's sad, I even get bullied by our English teacher, Mr. Dembrowski.
"Sit down class, Aubrey, I see your still wearing those disgusting clothes, and did u even brush your hair?"
"Yeah," I mumble quietly.
I know what Mr. Dembrowski does isn't supposed to be allowed, but our principal has a crush on him and a big one at that. When the end of the day bell rings I'm so relieved. Mariah and I sit in the alley behind the market and enjoy the view. At 8:30 I go home. I went into my room, Lay my head down, and fall into a deep sleep, hoping that tomorrow might be better
