Prologue

It was the day when Zhan Zhao broke up with Bai Yutang.

It was the day when Bai Yutang was kidnapped by a strange group of people.

It was the day that turned Yutang's life upside down completely.

"As I thought, breaking up with you was the better idea. Yutang, let's not see each other as lovers anymore. "
Harsh words fall from Zhan Zhao's lips and shook the entire core of Bai Yutang's heart.

The man, who is idolized by every police officer, military officers for his power and bravery, could not help but tear up at the straightforward rejection.

His eyes scrutinized the beautiful face of Zhan Zhao, who was in front of him, without any expression, hoping for any kind of hints that everything is a bad dream and nothing else.

But no, Zhan Zhao did not take back his words.

Not knowing what to do, Yutang stood there, in the empty SCI floor, like a statue.

For a moment they were looking at each other. Then Zhan Zhao could not bear the silence and brought out his phone scrolling through, not paying attention to the person standing in front him. Zhan Zhao probably thought it is best for Yutang to let it all sink what he was saying so that he can get into the acceptance stage.

Yutang could not think anything that cause such a harsh rebuke from his lover and childhood best friend. Last time he looked dejectedly at Zhan Zhao with moisted eyes, his heart drumming through his rib cage. Nah, he could not see the beautiful and intelligent pair of eyes with which he fell in love with. Any emotions were erased from Zhan Zhao's system and he was checking his phone like nothing happened.

He could think of all little rejections that he got from Zhan Zhao, but didn't think of it much. He only thought that Zhan Zhao was being shy as it is their first relationship, for both of them. The idea that Zhan Zhao was probably only tolerating him because he did not want to break Yutang's heart did not evade his mind, but now he started to think like that.

Yutang stepped back a little with great effort. He was tired. Very tired. He could not hold any longer when he realized that he has lost the love of his life. The one with whom he dreamt the future. But it was all one sided. Finally, it was all over.

He ran out in the darkness.

A journey of different kind of love. A love which is pure, serene, makes you feel warm and fuzzy and a love which is dark, possessive and manipulative that can't make you breathe. Where is the final destination for these kind of couple? Is there any kind of a resolution?

All the characters are from SCI book. New characters will be introduced also to follow the plot. The genders are according to the book.
