'Get away from the prince or I'll put this through your throat'

Both turned, except Dream already backed away from George with his hands in the air. Then he lowered them slightly.

'Sapnap!' George looked between the two of them, still full of questions. 'Clay? Clay is that you?'

'It's me buddy!' Dream got out of the fountain and walked towards the guard. The man dropped the sword to the ground and hugged the tall man. 'I can't believe you're even alive... What the hell happened??'

'I'll tell you everything but first I have to formally thank the prince.' He turned to George and suddenly knelt.

'I will never be able to repay the gift of lifting a terrible curse off my shoulders. Becoming a knight, I've already pled my life to you, I have nothing else to give but my unconditional loyalty and service. I will forever...'

'You may rise.' George cut in. Dream only looked up from where he was kneeling. He looked a bit saddened, even scared. George realized his words had been delivered in the wrong tone.

'I mean thank you Sir... Clay? Is it? Pardon me, I'm kind of disoriented right now.'

'It is Clay,' the man said happily and stud up, 'but you can keep calling me Dream. I've grown to like that nickname.' He didn't know what to think.

George looked around and motioned two men to follow him to the castle. George's cheeks reddened. So many memories of himself telling that little frog embarrassing, uncomfortable stories rushed in. He wondered what Dream thought about him.

When one of the older servants saw the prince, all dirty and wet, she almost screamed. She dragged both of them to separate washrooms.

The whole time George thought about their interactions, remembering everything he told him when he was a frog.

'Did you see where that blonde man went? Where is he?' George was impatient and if that servant lady didn't have a firm grip on him, he would have walked out.

'He is near.' She answered simply, further annoying George.

As soon as he got some dry clothes on, he ran out to find the boy. 'Where is he? Where is your friend?' He asked the guard from before.

'I told Bad... I mean the royal counselor what happened, and he took him to see the king and queen. I have to testify at a trial so you can come with me to the throne room.'

They both knew where that was, they headed to the centre of the castle.
