Part 10: Blood in the sink

This is a little Hua Cheng angst

After Hua Cheng with the help of Xie lian got the children into bed (The Hua siblings are sharing a room. And also Chen WenXing's surname is now Hua), They got ready themselves and went to bed. Hua Cheng had the same dream each night of what happened in the alley way with Hua Yings biological mother. He still loathed her and hated her to the bottom of hell, but also thanked her secretly for bringing Hua Ying into this world. He dreams of all the screams and all of the begging, tying to fight her off. Nothing that ever worked. How useless he thought he was back there. He could not even save himself....

So Hua Cheng got up after the nightmare with cold sweat dripping down him face. But the noise of Hua Cheng getting up seemed to wake Xie Lian up, Hua Ying is a deep sleeper, but XingJuan was absolutely not a deep sleeper. So XingJuan woke up stepped out the bedroom and closed the door with absolutely no sounds. When they walked down the hall following Hua Cheng, they bumped into each other. XingJuan was going to scream but quickly got her mouth covered by Xie Lian which signalled her to be quiet. So they both tiptoed together all the was following Hua Cheng to the bathroom. They were so confused, they know ghosts don't need to do do the business so why, the bathroom is only for human or heavenly visitors like Xie Lian. So what on Earth is Hua Cheng going to do in the bathroom?

The next thing they heard was shocking which made their heart shatter into a million pieces. Hua Cheng, the ghost king was crying..XingJuan wanted to burst in through the door  but quickly got stopped by Xie Lian. Again, Xie Lian signalled for her to shush.

Hua Cheng: I'm so sorry....I'm so so sorry. I'm so useless, Why would she do that! UGH, I'M SO USELESS, HOW CAN I PROTECT MY CHILDREN IF I CAN'T EVEN PROTECT MYSELF....why, did I let her do that to me. Why did she have to be so strong to overpower me..? I don't even deserve to even exist..I'm not good enough for him, stop thinking about him! Ugh...I want to perish. But I can't, I have to take care of the ones that care and love me the most like I love them back. I'm only living for 3 people, Hua Ying, XingJuan and.....the crown prince...

Hearing this, Xie lian and XingJuan were left in tears. Xie Lian's eyes are red XingJuan's were no better. But Xie Lian was blushing a little because of the last sentence. But they were all a crying mess, Then Xie Lian whispered to XingJuan: "Don't tell your didi about this alright? He's too young to know.."  XingJuan Understood full heartedly continued to silently cry along with Xie Lian.

Hua Cheng: I need to punish myself, I can't live on like this without letting out all my guilt and pain. I need to keep this up...

Xie Lian and XingJuan heard some rustling and the sound of a knife being placed onto the sinks edge. They were horrified, what was Hua Cheng/a-die going to do?!?!!

Hua Cheng: I deserve this. 

After Hua Cheng cut himself 3 times until Xie Lian wouldn't bear to hear it anymore. He could also tell XingJuan was also thinking the same and the both pushed down the door. Hua Cheng looked at both of them, with wide and horrified eyes filled with tears. The two at the door were also doing the same but the tears were also coming down like waterfalls. 

On Hua Cheng's both arms were new and old scars from cutting himself numerous times a day. Some were still fresh with still bloody and the other 3 were bleeding heavily.

XingJuan: Why...a-die, why..?

Hua Cheng looked down in guilt and shame. Xie Lian walked forwards and got something from his sleeves, some bandages. While Xie Lian was bandaging his arms, he was telling Hua Cheng off for cutting himself. The three were crying at the same time while XingJuan did the other arm.

Xie Lian: Explain tomorrow, get some rest first San Lang. But I'll stay with you for tonight, just to make sure you aren't going to break the promise and cut yourself again. Got that?

Hua Cheng looked down and blushed (can they be switches..Thats what I have been thinking..🤔)

So then XingJuan went back to Hua Ying and her's bedroom and cried herself to sleep. Meanwhile with HuaLian, they were cuddling together while Xie Lian was brave enough to kiss his Hua Cheng's forehead while saying words of comfort until, Hua Cheng fell asleep. The last kiss was not on the forehead anymore. That. Was Xie Lian's first kiss.
