Part 34: Discussing marriage

Lan Qiren and the twin Jades were waiting in the orchid room for Xie Lian and Hua Cheng to come. They were expecting them to be there to discuss the little thing with the forehead ribbon. Lan Wangji still kept on his 'don't talk to me face' while Lan Xichen was smiling his regular 'people could die in front of my eyes and I'll still be smiling face.

Once the chaotic trios of parents came, the air was awkward since they don't know each other that well. They all bowed with respect and said their formal greetings. All they knew was each other's status, Xie Lian was sweating while Hua Cheng just put on a death glare. So Xie Lian decided to break the awkward silence.

Xie Lian: So...do you need anything?

Lan Xichen: how about we all come inside and talk over tea? It would be disrespectful to not treat such honouring guests in cloud recesses.

So they all went to the room connected to the orchid room and sat down. Lan Wangji poured tea to all of them while there was another silence.

Hua Cheng: So? Get to the point, why are we here? What do you want to talk about?

Hua Cheng huffed and lowered his head thinking that he has displeased his lover. But after that when Xie Lian realised that it was a misunderstanding. He quickly held onto his adorable San Lang's hand and stroked it comfortingly.

Lan Qiran: Ahem- Wangji, you can explain.

Little did the fans know, someone was listening at the door and stepped in with perfectly red dusted cheeks.

Hua Ying: You and dad aren't even married yet! But...I approve. I also love you, Lan Zhan, do you accept my feeling?

Lan Wangjis's hopeful eyes turned into overjoyed ones. He was more than happy with the answer.

Lan Wangji: I love you, fancy you, I want you. You are the only one I love Hua Ying.

Hua Ying: I, Hua Ying also love, fancy you and want you, you are also the only one I love Lan Zhan.

Hua Cheng was covered with a face of dread while Xie Lian was showered with happiness. He was already started to plan his son's wedding in his head. Lan Qiren was relieved, he not only wanted power, but if his nephew was happy, he will be too. Lan Xichen was squealing like a 5-year-old who got a new toy. He was so happy for his brother knowing that Wangji has loved Hua Wuxian for a long time.

Xie Lian: you have my blessing...ONLY if Han Guangjun doesn't be breaking my son's heart or making him cry.

Hua Cheng nodded in agreement to Xie Lian.

Lan Wangji: I promise.

Hua Cheng decided to let him off...for now.

The day ended with Hua Ying's and Lan Wangji cuddling in bed and the others planning for the wedding. They decided the wedding to be next year when they turn 16 and Hua Ying rises to a supreme ghost just like his dad. A lot of things will happen next year. Ying Hua will ascend to heaven as the goddess of culture and WenXing will also ascend as the goddess of nature. Along with her when they turn 17 next year.
