The woman brought you into the orphanage,tears stained your skin knees covered in dirt you were slightly wet since it was raining "yes this is y/n he-" you tuned out the conversation tightly holding onto to your teddy bear and book.they were the only things you managed to grab,"y/n" you looked up at the woman "go ahead and get settled in" you turned away saying nothing,you didn't want to talk, never again not after what you saw.you were only 10 and saw those horrible horrible things,you played with the bracelets your little sister made you,oh how you missed her dearly the tears began to come again.you walked into the other room and stopped to take all the faces in you noticed a boy the same age as you sitting by himself reading.he had Sandy blonde hair and wire glasses,you walked over to him and sat across from him neither of you said a word but he looked at you and slightly tilted his head you were crying but your face showed no emotion the tears streamed down your face but your expression was blank.you looked at his book it was a book of riddles and puzzles you set your teddy bear in your lap and opened your book and you two sat there silently reading,it was a nice silence though of course you just met this boy but he had a comforting vibe and you wanted to stick with him."hi" you looked up from your book and gave a small wave "do you talk?" you thought for a moment you can talk but you don't want to not now not ever, you shake your head "oh" he sets his book down "do you want to be friends?" you nod "can I tell you a riddle..here take this paper and pen so you can answer" he hands you the paper and pen  "What has six faces, but does not wear makeup, has twenty-one eyes, but cannot see?" You figdet with the pen for a moment and quickly scribble down the answer dice?
he smiles as he reads what your wrote"yes you got it right" you try to smile  but its hard "its ok when I first got here I couldn't stop crying" he plays with his sleeves "do you uh..maybe want a hug?" You nod "sorry I'm not that good with this" he gets up and pushed his small chair in you doing the same.he wraps his arms around you tightly,seems like he needs a hug too you tightly hold him back crying onto his shoulder "the rain sounds nice" you nod and he lets you go."my names Edward what's yours?" You grab the pen and write down your name "y/n?" you nod "That's A nice name"

"alright everyone bed time" A lady shouts "y/n do you wanna sleep with me?" you nod and smile .he grabs your hand and brings you to the old bed and climbs on the bed pulling the covers over you both you hold your teddy bear close to you,it was the last you had after all the last thing your father gave you."goodnight y/n" you smile and mess up Edwards hair "hey!" He laughs and messes up yours as you giggle.after awhile you and Edward fall asleep it was cold very cold so he held you to keep you warm the whole night.at least you have someone to talk to,to spend time with,A friend.
