Days passed with rumors which said that the new girl was dating the high school's freak. Eddie didn't care about that really, and Hazel was having some fun. Everything related to her unexpected relationship with Munson seemed funny to her.

I mean, the guy was in his 20s and hadn't graduated yet. He drank, he smoked, he had several tattoos, he was in a band, and he made a living selling drugs. Hazel had found in one person everything her parents would hate, maybe more.

You probably are wondering why she wasn't worried about the posibility of her parents founding out about this rumors, and the reason was so simple: they already knew everything.

They had saw her with Eddie the night when he kissed her, kiss she decided to correspond after seeing her parents.

They had gone for her later since she was staying with a friend, or that was what they believed. When she approached to her parents' car, they started arguing, making her to give details about Eddie. They let the discussion grew since they were sure they were alone. They said they were completely desappointed about her

"What do you mean exactly with adolescent impulse?" Hazel had asked.

"We mean that you are in that phase where you just hate us. I don't know if it is because of the moving or whatever, but you just want to annoy us" her mother answered, and the girl denied.

"Please, Hazel, do you think we believe that you suddenly found the love of your life in that boy with no future?" her father reproached.

Hazel sighed. "Do you want me to say that the reason why I'm dating him is that? Ok! You're right. At first I told you that I hanged out with a friend because I was scared of telling you, but then, it occurred to me that this would really annoy you, and since you saw me with him today, I take advantage of it and confess. You always control everything I do, and I'm tired. But now, now I'm 18, so what are you going to do?" and crossed her arms with a funny smile on her face.

Of course she never imagined that her friend was still in the school and had heard those words.

Eddie had approached to the front door to listen better, since he heard the girl arguing with someone and got worried, until he payed attention and noticed the discussion was about him. He came to a point where he got so bewildered he just couldn't keep listening. He went to the bathroom and saw his reflection in the mirror, the image of a boy with no future. He was trying to convince himself that wasn't true.

The stupid comments about how freak he was and things like that, didn't annoy him at all, but what Hazel's father had said, made him feel really bad. Then he thought that maybe everyone, even his uncle Wayne and the Hellfire's boys, inside them, thought like that about him, that he just was a failed guy.

After some minutes he just stopped thinking about that, and asked himself the most important thing: what will he do with Hazel?

The first idea that came to his mind was say that he had heard everything and then tell her to fuck off, but his eyes which suddenly were full of tears were telling him that he wouldn't be capable of doing that. Something like this had never happened to him. For the first time, he didn't know what to do, what to say, how to react, and he felt so stupid, more because he wasn't so surprised for finding out about this.

Should've seen this coming from a mile away.
