Spamton awoke to the smell of pancakes, he looked around, he was half expecting to wake in the dumpster, finding out it was all just a dream but apparently it wasn't. He was still in a nice cozy bed. He was broken away from his spacing out by a knock on the door.

Banner: Spamton?

Spamton: Come in...

Spamton began reaching for his glasses when the familiar blue program came walking in holding out a plate of pancakes that were presumably drowning in syrup. Spamton would be lying if he said his stomach didn't growl at the sight. Banner and Spamton back then were undeniably the closest, Banner always being the most supportive of him, which just made it hurt even more when he turned his back on him too.

Whilst Spamton was the most comfortable around him, he still didn't fully trust him knowing full well that even as close as they were, he was still willing to leave him behind like the slime he is.

Banner: Did you sleep well?

Banner inquired as he handed Spamton the plate.

Spamton: I GUESS SO.

Spamton said flatly.

They shared a moment of silence before Spamton spoke up again.

Spamton: I DON'T GET IT.

Banner: Don't get what?

Spamton: WHY ARE YOU BEING SO [Nice Cream] TO ME? IS IT PITY? OR DO YOU JUST WANT SOMETHING FROM ME???

Banner: Spamton- This isn't just pity, we've been looking all over for you because we were worried about you-

Spamton furrowed his brow before he spoke again.

Spamton: SO IT IS JUST PITY-!

Banner: What?! N-no! I just-

Banner stopped to collect his thoughts before he allowed himself to utter another word. The blue program always had a habit of thinking before he speaks.

Banner: I'm sorry, what I meant to say was, we cared about you, that's why we were always out searching for you ever since I couldn't find you at the mansion.

Spamton just scoffed in response. Of course they only started caring AFTER his fall from fame, it was always about poor unlucky Spamton! It's like all they do is pity him. But as soon as he finally makes it big they all leave him, it's like they only kept him in the friend group to make themselves look better. Were they really just that full of themselves?

Spamton: BUT WHY ONLY AFTER?! WHAT?! WERE YOU ALL JUST TOO MUCH OF A [Courage The Cowardly Dog] TO ACTUALLY FACE ME [upfront] TO ADMIT YOUR [wrongdoings]!

The blue program just sat there, surprised. Eventually they got the courage to speak again.

Banner: You know what the worst part is? Everything you said was true. We were too cowardly to apologize for what we've done, so we just ran to the easiest solution, we assumed. We assumed you were doing fine without us, we assumed you were fine and made yourself some new friends. And look what happens when we make assumptions.

Banner: But this is why we wanted to find you. So, we can make up for what we've done. We're not just doing this out of pity, we're doing this... Because we care about you. We know that it's gonna take a lot more than breakfast in bed to make up for what we've done, but that's why we're trying. So, can you please just... Trust us?... Trust me..?

Spamton:...

AND WHY SHOULD I?

Banner: Well, because. If I really just pitied you, then I wouldn't be going through the trouble of putting a roof over your head and making sure you don't escape us.

Spamton just looked away, as though he was lost in thought.

Banner let out a long contented sigh.

Banner: Well, trust me or not. I'm still gonna try to help you and get you back on your feet.

The blue program rises to his feet, ready to leave the room. And Banner swore he heard a faint 'thank you' pass the white addison's mouth. A faint smile was painted on the blue program's face as he left, it was gonna be a long journey before they could get through white program's defensive attitude, but...

They were making progress...
