In the lookout, Ryder and The Pups had Joshie resting on a beanbag. He was really sick and his temperature was very hot. He was coughing so much and sneezing.
Ryder: oh boy Joshie your burning up
Joshie: *groaned* I feel so sick *coughs*
Skye: awwww I'm sorry Joshie
Chase: yeah. We're really sorry that your sick buddy
Joshie: r..Ryder? Do i...I have a fever?
Ryder: I'm not sure what it is
Marshall: I think we should take him to the hospital
Joshie: i..is it something m..much worse?
Joshie was starting to freak out. Ryder knelt down to help him calm down. He was obviously worried about what will happen to him, but Ryder assured him that it's probably nothing to worry about.
Joshie: a...are you sure? *coughs*
Ryder: I know so. Come on let's get you to the hospital
Rocky: Ryder? Can I come with you guys?
Ryder: sure Rocky. You can come. Make sure to help Joshie
Rocky: I will I promise
Joshie started coughing again. He was getting annoyed by him constantly coughing. But, he didn't know how to stop it. Once they finally reached the hospital. Ryder, Joshie, and Rocky came out and entered the place. Joshie was of course getting nervous, Rocky went over to him to help.
Rocky: hey its ok Joshie, everything is ok buddy
Joshie: *tears up while coughing*
Rocky: I know your scared and trust me, hospital's can be scary, but you just got to relax
Joshie: i....I'll try
Rocky: I'm so sorry pal your not feeling well. I'm hoping whatever it is you have that is making you sick, the pups and I can help you
Joshie: *coughs* t..thanks Rocky
Rocky: your welcome bud
Dr. Diane: hey there Joshie. Are you ready?
Joshie: *nods his head slowly*
Dr. Diane: are you scared sweetie?
Joshie: *tears up and nods his head again*
Dr. Diane: I promise we are going to take good care of you. You don't have to be scared hun. Your ok
She ruffled Joshie's head as he started to smile a little bit. Once she took him in. Rocky then became worried. Ryder noticed and went over and sat next to him.
Ryder: he's going to be ok Rocky
Rocky: I hope
Ryder: me too
After a few minutes went by, Dr Diane came back with some news about Joshie.
Ryder: how is he?
Dr. Diane: there's no easy way to say this but, he has a disease that could cause him to pass away
Ryder: *gasps* oh no. Is there anything we can do?
Dr. Diane: the only thing for you guys to do is just pray for him to get better
Ryder: ok we'll do that, thanks doctor
Rocky: Ryder? Did they say what's going on with Joshie?
Ryder: Rocky. Joshie unfortunately has a disease that will *sighs* may make him no longer live
Rocky: n..no please n..no. n..not Joshie *tears up* you m..mean he'll?
Ryder nodded as Rocky started to whimper. Ryder hugged him tightly as then Rocky started crying. Rocky and Ryder broke the hug as he went up to Dr. Diane to ask if he could go see him.
Dr. Diane: sure darling he's over in that room
She pointed to room five where Joshie was. Rocky opened the door to see his friend on the bed, looking miserable.
Rocky: Joshie are you ok?
Joshie: I'm really sorry Rocky. I..I'm sorry I have a disease
Rocky: it's ok. You didn't do anything wrong. But if you d..do not make i..it. your my best friend Joshie a....and your always an awesome person. And s...seeing you like this it's just *tears up* I just want you to know i...I love you pal
Joshie: i..I love you too buddy
Rocky gave him a hug before leaving his buddy in the room to sleep. When Rocky closed the door, he layed on the floor as covered his face as he broke down crying. Ryder went up to him to help him. But, Rocky was just too upset. When they made it back to the lookout, everyone was giving the news about Joshie and as to be expected, they were also very worried about him. Rocky was in huge pain of heartbreaking sadness. He had trouble sleeping during the night, he was really worried about Joshie that he couldn't sleep and he refused to. He decided to go outside to just look at the stars. He howled in sadness and just sat there for the rest of the night.
Rocky: I hope your ok and feel better soon pal. I hope you know that I care about you buddy. Get well soon Joshie *sniffs* please
