The job

"AHHGHHHHHHGHHHH". I winced in annoyance at his unnecessarily loud screams before hitting him in the head with a shovel.

"It's no fun if we get caught dummy." I giggled at the unconscious man. 666. This will be my six hundredth sixty sixth kill on the surface. What a day to commemorate. I drug his body by his foot as the limp body left a trail of fresh blood behind me. I reached the door and jiggled my key to get the stupid lock to unwind. I struggled to push open the door with my foot as i continued to drag the man by his shirt collar. I laughed at the irony because he had been fixing his shirt collar when i first approached him, and here I was ruining it. I walked through the house to the basement, I had only one flight of stairs left to go. I grabbed his foot once more and smiled at the thumps madd by his head as I trudged down the steps to my basement. His fatass finally woke up and struggled as I buckled him into my custom made steel chair. What a big body. I smiled at my living canvas and turned around to tidy up my table of tools. Lord knows i'm a clean freak. The man continued to make a disharmonious ruckus behind me. My head turned to face him as I shot him an empathetic smile. His eyes widened with what I could only tell to be a realization of my beauty before closing once more with a stray tear falling from his eye. I triumphantly held my sharpest scalpel in the air, i could finally begin sculpting, finally hear the right melody of screams.

"HELP! SOMEONE! ANYONE! HELP ME!!!" He pleaded.

I sighed. "Nobody can hear you Danny baby, there aren't any houses for miles. If you would have kept quiet, I might have let you live a little longer sweetheart." I said with a soft smile.

His sobs only grew. "Why. Why would you do this? You're a monster!" He yelled with stifling tears.

"Danny. It's really not personal. I mean, perhaps a tad bit, but merely due to the fact that you're a black coffee drinker. I am sorry you have to endure such pain, you will be missed, I'm sure." I replied before driving a corkscrew through his abdomen.

His stomach spewed the most beautiful ruby red I had seen, at least since the day before. I wasted no time slicing down his body, making him unique to my other masterpieces.

"Leaving so soon Danny?" I said glumly as the last bits of life were drained from his body.

"Men never last long." I remarked while wiping his blood from my utensils.

I cut his body into pieces, tossing his severed limbs into their mouths. My dogs would eat anything, but they loved when I gave them treats.

Backtrack

I was sipping my coffee when a man at the front counter caught my eye. He was ordering the same liquid delight as me, with a bold crimson dot on his forehead. Sinners had red marks on their foreheads, the lesser the sin, the more transparent the dot, the greater the sin, the bolder the dot.

He finished his order and went to sit alone at a vacant table in the corner. Once he sat, I stood and went to take a place in the chair opposite of him.

"You look pretty lonely over here." I said with a sincere smile.

"What can I say, I'm a lonely guy." He replied with a chuckle.

"I see, well those gorgeous green eyes shouldn't be wasted alone, wouldn't you say?"

"I guess not, but either way there isn't really anyone to share them with."

"But I come here every morning, and I don't ever recall seeing those eyes." I remarked with a flirty smile.

"You got me. I normally go to Hans' around the corner but that coffee shop is one of the many things my ex gets to keep." He replied with a nervous chuckle.

"Ah I see, had to switch coffee spots. Makes sense."

"Yeah, can't say I hate it, the coffee here is almost as good as the view." He said whilst looking uncomfortably into my eyes.

"Im flattered, since this coffee is so good, why don't we take it to my place?."

"Um, that sounds like a great plan, what could go wrong with a beautiful stranger I just met?" He replied with his ugly grin. Ugh

I laughed in return as we stood to leave the shop. He followed close behind me as we drove to my house; I could hardly contain my excitement.

It was really a shame I never found out what he did, whatever the matter, he's dead now. I thought with a satisfied sigh.
