"you will treat him with respect" saphira said
"i would recommend following saphira's advice, this man hear maybe young but he has done much, and is the last of his kind" brom said eragon looked confused
"i have dragon blood running through my veins" i explained he looked shocked
"that means i hold a bond with all dragons that is deeper then any magic one can cast even the dragons themselves cannot break the bond, it is that powerful, fortunately i am not an evil individual even if i hold the title lord of darkness, that does not mean automatically lord of evil" i said he nodded
"is that why three dragons hatched for you" brom asked
"well no, ddraig already was born and needed the chance to be regain a body and took the opportunity that was presented to him, jaaku is a wild dragon that merged with a hatchling, ryoko is my only properly bonded dragon, fortunately for me ddraig wasn't the only dragon spirit that i was housing i placed the other one somewhere that will cause galbatorix a lot of grief" i said as my eyes glistened evilly
"did you not just say that you weren't a lord of evil" brom asked
"are you saying you want me to be nice to galbatorix" i asked in a deadpan tone
"continue being evil" he replied
"i thought so, anyway murtagh has agreed to guide us to the varden, so long as we provide him protection against them, when we arrive"
"ah yes he has told me, i have already agreed to this, and with your agreement it really doesn't matter if eragon agrees or not" the old man chuckled i nodded
"we should be off, also the ra'zac are no longer a problem eragon" i said
"did you kill them" he asked
"why would i kill my own servants that doesn't make sense to me" i said in confusion
"they follow the lord of darkness, galbatorix may be mad but he is not the lord of darkness" brom explained
"i see" eragon said
"i sent them to gather my other forces from across the sea, i will be having to discuss that with the leader of the varden, my forces will expect something for the war they are about to fight, preferably land i hope to have him give me the desert, no one is using it after all" i said he nodded
our trek to the varden was quite easy except for the urgals we had to avoid i wanted to fight them but i couldn't show off too much yet
we were able to get in and meet them and thanks to brom were granted instant admittance without the need to have our minds probed again once we met the leader i revealed the five remaining dragon eggs
"does the king know we have these" ajihad asked
"yes, i did that on purpose i convinced him that it would be easier to wait for us to hatch them and then he can simply break the respective riders to his will" i said
"good luck with that" ajihad chuckled
"exactly, but i had to point out he has had the three original eggs under his possession for hundreds of years without luck, so maybe he is doing something wrong, and he agreed with me, then again he thinks i am devoutly loyal to him, that stops now that i am here" i said as i cast a stunning spell on the twins
"for you see i pay attention, these two are spies working for galbatorix, you probe their minds and you will see i am right" i said ajihad was shocked
"impressive" he said
"now the elf, i assume you have administrated the cure" i asked he nodded
"she wishes to meet you, she like i would like to know how you are so knowledgeable and powerful" ajihad said
"i am the rightful lord of darkness, my power came from my predecessors as for my magic well, that is my secret and mine alone, i do not have to bend to your or her, or anyone's curiosity, keep in mind i have command over every dragon in the land that includes these unhatched ones that includes shruiken, there is not a single dragon that could resist my command" i said he paled at that fully understanding my threat
"very well, i apologize for prying, oh and brom this belongs to you" ajihad said handing brom a ring
"my thanks" the old man said as he slipped the ring onto his finger
"now the old man, let me get a glimpse of your dragon if you don't mind" i said
"why" he asked
"you will see" i said
