one day he had been walking around the city quite honestly rather bored and he didn't want to deal with ryogo who was yet again attempting to convince him to exorcise more then the extraordinarily rare times he did, the fact he was one of the twelve guardians was a deeply guarded secret, one he requested himself
when he was walking he noticed a girl fall from the ocean
"thrown from the magano huh" i asked no one in particular as i went to rescue her
"your welcome" i said after i pulled her out of the river she pulled out and handed me a map that somehow didn't get destroyed by the water and she pointed towards a destination
"i'm not the best at reading maps so if we get lost well i warned you" i said as i began to lead the way
and as i suspected we did get lost when she pulled on my sleeve
"what" i asked then i heard her stomach growl i sighed
"here, get as much as you like" i said she nodded spent every cent in my wallet which wasn't really a problem i got well paid for the work i did do for the exorcists they made sure to keep my loyalty which was smart of them
after she finished eating we got back to walking as i watched a couple kids and smiled ever so slightly this was before we and the two kids were sent into the magano
i sighed
"the magano, great" i said to myself
"wait are you-" she was cut off by an explosion
"protect the kids" she said as she equipped several enchantments i noticed they weren't any of mine and thought she wasn't the smartest tool in the shed but i decided to humor the girl as i watched her take out the kagare
"hmm impressive for one her age" i complimented after she killed them all a rather big one appeared
"here, take the kids and get out of here" she said
"you don't intend to fight that thing do you" i asked she nodded
"you are very skilled but that is on a whole new level you may die" i said she shrugged
"i will exorcise all the kagare" she replied as she walked towards the massive beast i sighed
"she has to be a bloody hero" i said opening the gate
"go on through brats i need to save my idiotic compatriot" i said as the phoenix landed on my shoulder as the two kids ran through the portal
"let us dance, rikugo" i said as the bird landed on my shoulder
"i should really take the shimon's spot and him take mine but eh what ever" i said
"you know you are truly a blasted idiot, fortunately for you though, i am here" i said as i pulled out my talisman
"that a rikugo talisman" she said in shock recognizing the craftsmanship she had only three of these special talisman and was told to use them only in the worst of situations because only the highest ranking exorcists had them and she was lucky to get the three she had
i chuckled
"is that what those idiot's call them, well watch closely then" i said as i held it forth
"bathe the world in your light" i chanted as i was equipped in a majestic cloak i pulled out a second
"encase the world with your aura" i chanted as a book formed and opened it's pages turning rapidly as i pulled out a third talisman
as the girl watched her eyes widened she was in the presence of the warlock, rikugo himself
"entrust the world to your guardians" i chanted as a elegant staff formed and i grasped it
"return your life to the gods, stardust abyss" i chanted as the phoenix transformed into a blast of light that shot through the kagare exorcising it in one fell strike
"you are impressive for one your age, however it is not quite your time to feel death's embrace" i said as i pulled out a teleport talisman and opened the portal back to the mortal world after we exited i allowed the enchantments to fall as i began to walk away
"wait" she said i stopped
"benio adashino" she said
"rokuro, rokuro enmado, rikugo of the twelve guardians" i said as i bowed and left her
i eventually returned to the dorm to find her there and i chose to ignore her my shikigami as usual perched on my shoulder
"welcome back, lord enmado" ryogo said my eyebrow raised then i looked towards her
"you told them, did you" i said a tad annoyed
"great now i get to deal with this now" i said
