"Back straight!  Spot the turn!  Chin up!" Miss Carte yelled at us.  We were working on Chaines (sheh-NAY) turns.  It was difficult because we were on pointe.  In ballet is was easy but point is different.  This was our cool down excercise.

"Alright good job girls.  Remember we do not have class next week.  Now go and have a good rest of the day." She said.  I was sweaty and out of breath.  I walked over to Camie and she handed me a bottle of water from her bag.

"I need to go see Janie and have her wrap my ankle." Camie said.   She took off her pointe shoes and put them in her bag.  She started to strech out her legs.

"Ok.  I'll go with you.  I've been meaning to go talk to her anyway about my finger.  I need to know when I can take the splint thing off" I said as I tried to take off my shoes.  I did something to my finger a while ago and I couldn't move it.  It's been a few weeks since and it feels better so I need to ask if it's ok for me to take the thing off.

"After we go see Janie, what would you like to do this Friday night?" Camie asked me.  She had finished streaching and was looking at me with her sparkling blue eyes.

"I definately want to get something to eat" I said.  She nodded in agreement.

"What if we go to Lorretta's?  I could definately go for some homemade chicken soup" Camie suggested.

"Sounds great." I said as I finished streaching.  I grabbed my bag and coat and Camie grabbed her stuff.  We made our way down to where Janie was.

"Hello girls.  What can I do for you?" Janie asked us.  She was a short woman but was very skinny.  She has glasses and long blonde hair.

"Could you wrap my ankle for me?" Camie asked.  Janie nodded and helped Camie onto her table.  Janie grabbed some tape and a wrap and wrapped her ankle in no time.

"Do you need something Marlee?" She asked me.

"When can I take this thing off of my finger?" I asked her.  She examined my finger and took off the splint.  She told me to bend my finger.

"Do you feel any pain?" She asked me.  I shook my head and she said that I should be fine.  We thanked her and left.

We were about half way to our room when Camie jumped on my back.

"What are you doing?" I asked her.  I had almost fallen on my face.

"You are giving me a piggy back ride!  Thanks so much for agreeing to it!" She said.

"My pleasure" I said as I carried her the rest of the way to our room.  I threw her down on her bed after I managed to open the door.  I tossed my bag and other belongings onto my bed and walked over to our closet.  Camie and I both wear the same size clothes so we just share.

"What are you going to wear?" She asked me.  I examined the closet full of clothes and pulled out a blue and white knit sweater.  I held it up to my body and looked at Camie with a questioning expression.

"Hmm I think that would look great on you.  Wear your dark skinny jeans and tan boots and you will be beautiful." She said.  I rumaged through the drawers of my dresser trying to find my skinny jeans.  I eventually found them.

Camie pulled out a blue flower print short sleeve shirt.  She grabbed a pair of bootcut jeans.  We both got dressed and pulled our hair down from our tight ballet buns.  Our hair fell in perfect curls and we put on a little makeup before grabbing our coats and purses and heading out.

We halted a cab and got inside.  The driver took us to Lorretta's and we thanked him and paid him.  We walked inside and sat at a table.  We ordered Chicken noodle and Cheesy Brocholi soup.
