Lumine sighed as she heard the door to her room opening. Yes, being leader was great and all, however the lack of knocking was truly a pain. She stood up and turned around, her nine tails swaying ever so slightly behind her legs as she noticed who it was. "Ashe," she said firmly. "You found the wanted woman? How?"

Ashe hesitated. He was never one for confrontation and he could sometimes be a bit anxious about it. "Lumine. I'm sorry to disturb you but-" Lumine cut him off. "You're my brother. You'll always be welcome with me, no matter what hour. Now tell me.. why did you bring Gwen here instead of the PD?" Lumine asked. "Gwen.. Actually is innocent. The lab she blew up. They didn't tell the whole story. They didn't tell why she did it in the first place." Ashe replied, trying to sound as if he was defending an innocent, not a criminal. Which he was technically doing.

"Didn't tell the full story?" Lumine walked over to a group of four chairs, all facing each other. "Sit down you two, amuse me." You could easily see fear rising in Ashe's nerves. When Lumine says to 'Amuse her,' it can only mean she wasn't in the best of moods. He decided he really should've checked that before bringing Gwen.

He sat down, and Gwen sat in the chair next to the him. He mainly let Gwen do the explaining so it wouldn't seem like Ashe was defending her without having her story. Gwen first explained what spirits went through at the lab. The shots, the beating, the burning. Lumine listened intently. "I've had other spirits from that lab brought to visit me. They told me similar things.. however the lab told me they were mentally ill. I see now I was mistaken. They simply wanted me to believe in their cause so they could continue their twisted experiments." Lumine took a moment to think. "And what if I shut down the lab? They've begun to rebuild." Lumine said. Gwen shook her head. "You can't do that. There's a special spirit- we haven't come up with the exact name for them yet, but we call them Shadow spirits. It's a term for spirits who have in some sense.. gone insane. Their power has warped and begun hurting them. They try to kill anyone in sight and need special restraints. Restraints only that lab has." Lumine looked at Gwen. "So what do you suppose I do? Obviously what the people in the lab did was illegal and they need to be arrested. But if arresting them promises doom for Farfalla and any place near it.." Gwen spoke up. "I'm afraid for the safety of Farfalla, you can't arrest them. Perhaps that's what they intended. Make it so you cannot get rid of them." Gwen sighed. "So you won't. The most you can do, station trusted officers in the facility. Have any spirit deemed harmless leave and be free." Lumine nodded. "How would we know if someone is turning into a shadow spirit as they're released?" Lumine asked. "We won't, however becoming a shadow spirit is typically caused by a strong bad emotion such as anger or sadness, and being released from that hell should cause good emotion." Lumine nodded. "I'll have an order put out as soon as possible." She looked to the side, then back at Gwen. "Until I can spread word that you're not wanted anymore, you should stay here with me. It'll likely take a while for me to get the word around.. You're very popular in the Farfalla police departments, no?" Ashe nodded in agreement. "Lumine's right. Sending you into society right now is practically ASKING someone to put you in jail.." Gwen nodded. "I understand." Lumine smiled a bit. She half expected Farfallas most wanted 'criminal' to be more.. Difficult to agree with. However that entire conversation had gone smoothly. "Ashe. Show her the guest bedroom, please." Lumine requested. "Alright.." and with that, Ashe gently grabbed Gwen's arm and walked away.

Lumine sat there a moment, before standing up and approaching her bedroom door, locking it. Her tail swayed behind her as she changed into a short kimono, what she usually wore to sleep.

The woman lay in bed. Covering herself with her nine tails, and slowly drifted off to sleep.
