Maverick woke the second the alarm started beeping to his head pounding.

He rolled over on his back and stretched, trying to wake up his exhausted limbs.

"Morning," a soft voice came from the other side of the room.

For a brief moment, Maverick had forgotten where he was as he sat up to see Arrow climbing down the ladder of her bunk.

"Mornin' losers."

Goose's voice broke the comfortable, peaceful atmosphere as he leapt right out the bed below Maverick.

"Jeez, morning there, Goose," Arrow laughed. "Glad to see you didn't seem to feel as miserable as I do."

Maverick knew what she meant. As he climbed down from his own bunk, his headache roared and his stomach churned.

"I think I'm just a bit hungover," Arrow groaned. "A little too much fun, I think."

Goose laughed at her apparent misery. "You sound like my wife after we leave Bradley with the sitter."

Arrow looked up at him from her duffle bag. "Is Bradley your son?"

"Bradley is the cutest," Maverick chimed in. "When Carole comes to visit you can meet him. Speaking of, Goose, when is she coming?"

"Sunday," Goose answered. "We only have one class on Sundays, and family visitation is allowed."

Arrow smiled at the thought of getting to meet Goose's son. "I can't wait to meet them, they sound really nice."

"They're the best."

"Hey, we've gotta go back to our room to change," Maverick reminded his friend. "Then we'll meet you in the mess hall, is that alright?" He turned to Arrow to confirm their plan.

She shrugged. "That's fine. I'll find Raven too. We have a class before flying today, right? I don't even remember."

Goose, clearly still the most mentally intact after their night, gave a thumbs up. "Yep. Mav and I gotta go change but we'll see you in a few."

Arrow gave a small wave as the boys walked out and down the hall to their own room.

She packed her bag and straightened the bed sheets, which she never even fell asleep under anyways. It was better to keep it tidy, though, incase they actually seemed to care about whether or not a sheet was a little crinkly.

Yesterday, she had been told at lights out she would be able to move her things into the female sleeping quarters.

Although it wouldn't be horrible sleeping alone, Arrow couldn't help feeling a little upset she wouldn't get to hang out with Maverick and Goose at night anymore.

She switched into her uniform, put her hair into a neat bun, and walked out the door.

"There he is," Arrow smiled. "How'd you sleep?" She plopped down on a bench next to Raven, keeping an eye out for Maverick and Goose.

"Not too bad. Bit of a headache, but my roommates were quiet," Raven shrugged. He had already had his breakfast in front of him, which Arrow was excited to get into. "How about you?"

"Not bad. I'm a little hung over, now, Maverick and I both."

Raven raised a brow. "You've seen him already this morning?"

A sheepish smile crossed Arrow's face. "Yeah, he and Goose spent the night in the back room with me. Just to keep me company, I don't think they actually planned on falling asleep. We were just exhausted."
