A man in his mid forties lounged back on a sofa that sat in the bed of a truck which was inside a junkyard. The hundred vampires standing before him all grinned with gleeful satisfaction and expectant greed for more violence. They sneered and growled animalistically at all those standing trial in a barbaric form of a juridical system, "Mr. Northman, Sheriff or Area 5, and one thousand years old." He paused, to stare at the large vampire before him in disappointment, "You stand accused of selling vampire blood,"

The large vampire that stood before him was over 6ft with long blonde hair that fell just before his shoulders. He was muscular in a manner that indicated a life of hard work and battle before he was turned and indeed he had, as a Viking. The man wore a black tank which only highlighted the trait of paleness shared by typical vampire.

"I have Magister," Mr. Northman agreed, his tone and expression blank. It caused the younger vampires close to him to shuffle uncomfortably at his authoritative voice. Many would not understand their instincts that screamed at them, warning them of this specific vampire for he was far older than most of them combined.

Pamela stood suddenly, her pink attire practically glowing in the dark and dingy junkyard, "You have no solid evidence that he did this!" Her fierce need to protect her maker rose to the surface. She had watched those before them being punished in painful and long lasting ways and she refused to allow it to happen to him.

"Pamela!" Eric commanded. Pamela ducked her head at the sound of her maker's voice, his authority still strong within her as she was only just over a hundred years old. The bond still had much room to grow despite it's already solid places inside each of them. Eric still shared a bond with his own maker, one that had lasted over a millennia and yet he too could be surprised by it. She would have no choice to heed his command.

"And how do you plead?" The Magister asked pointlessly. Mr. Northman was not even given a moment to reply before the crowd crashed together in agreement. The slight flare of the blonde vampire's nostrils indicated his barely contained anger. He knew that no matter how he pleaded, they just wanted to see violence and bloodshed. The judge carried on, "Even if you could prove yourself innocent...you allowed this to go on inside your area." The disapproval was loud, "I cannot let that go unpunished." He tuts as if scolding a young child. Pam looks warily over at her maker to see he'd grown extremely still, even for a vampire.

"Magister,  I have detained two human dealers, my progeny can bring them to you for punishment." Mr. Northman provided, hopeful to aid his case. The Magister crossed one leg over the other unfazed his attempt.

The Magister took a slow tired breath as if already done with him, "As you should in your position of authority. Who knows the vampires that have fallen under your nose due to your..negligence."

Mr. Northman replied strongly, "No vampires have died or gone missing in my area."

"That you know of." The Magister emphasised slowly, "Forgive me if I cannot trust your statement despite the glamoured human evidence." He wavered over to Pam who held two dazed humans, both restrained with chains locked around their neck and wrists. "Not even a month ago you were here with Bill Compton, who killed a vampire who was stealing from your business." Mr. Northman's jaw tightened with disdain for the vampire above him. His experience in his position as Sheriff allowed him to know that staying silent was his best option as to not further incriminate himself. "It is settled then, because of your age Mr. Northman I believe you should know how to take care of your own blood. Therefore you are to make a new progeny for the blood stolen under your authority."

"A new child," Mr. Northman plainly stated. Inwardly Eric was cursing up a storm, questions of just who they would force him to turn and to care for. Choosing a progeny was instinctive and required consideration to one's character.

"Yes. Bring me the girl." The Magister commanded. One of the many vampires at his side disappeared to follow the order. It didn't escape Mr. Northman's notice that the amount of vampires standing around the Magister had depleted throughout his trial. One after the other had left, but not one had returned.
