3rd person's POV
They were finally in the human realm, and Hunter was in the living room with the rest, minus Luz, who was explaining to her mother on everything that had happened, in the kitchen.Hunter found himself unintentionally tuning out the conversation as his eyes shifted to a certain plant-track girl.
Her eyebrows were furrowed in concentration as she was listening to the conversation, unlike Hunter, as she occasionally nodded, letting the rest know she was following along.
Hunter couldn't help the way his eyes softened and the smile that spread across his face.
He noticed the smallest things about her that others usually wouldn't see, like the way her nose would scrunch up when she held in a laugh, and the way she would smile slightly, but try to be respectful, so she wouldn't laugh fully, Hunter found Willow really adorable at times without realizing it.
He hadn't noticed how long he was staring though because Willow had glanced at him and once she noticed he was staring, she turned to him fully with a confused smile.
Hunter straightened up at that as he flushed red at the fact that he was caught and had her attention.
He sent her an awkward smile and looked away which made her confused, but she didn't say much more and also looked away.
He sighed in relief once she did, but his smile had faltered once he realized how nervous she had been making him.
What is this feeling?
He didn't know, and he wasn't sure if he really wanted to know, but he still couldn't help the glance he sent her, and once he looked, she had laughed softly at a joke Amity had cracked, as she covered her mouth to stifle a laugh.
Hunter blinked as he felt the tips of his ears heating up, and he tore his eyes away from her, he now knew for sure he was blushing because of her, but he didn't know why.
Am I...? No! I'm not falling for her!
He forced the thought away and squeezed his eyes shut, he couldn't possibly have feelings for this girl, he refused to accept it.
He opened his eyes and they subconsciously went to Willow, she was staring at him in concern and he looked away with a sigh, this girl was making this all the more harder.
Willow was his first real friend, the first person who accepted him for the way he was, and he couldn't possibly risk ruining that over some silly crush, and he knew that.
So with a sigh, he pushed those feelings away and decided to finally listen to the conversation, to distract himself from the thoughts of the girl that was filling his mind effortlessly.
To be continued...
