I am Gone

Chapter 20

Jeonghan and Joshua rushed to the amusement park, their car left by the entrance. They saw everyone in an ambulance and tackles Mingyu, Myungho, Hansol, Seungkwan, and Chan in a hug. They were breathless and the boys could feel it. Their eyes were on the verge of crying.

"Oh my god! You're all safe! I thought we lost you." Jeonghan's voice cracked, tears slowly falling down from his eyes.

Not far behind from them was Hoshi, following him was Seungcheol, Junhwi, and Wonwoo. They all run to their direction.

Jeonghan and Joshua pulled themselves back, giving the younger group some space. The newcomers hugged them next. Hoshi's eyes were reddish from crying and Seungcheol's were full of worries.

Joshua sniffed and wipes his tears. "I'm so sorry. I should have seen this coming. If I could only see my visions clearly and change it, this will never happen."

"What visions?" Seungcheol pulled away and the rest did the same.

"Oh, right. You guys didn't know." Myungho muttered.

Their attention turned on Joshua as he was about to tell what he saw hours before present.

An hour before classes in the university ends, Joshua blacked out in the middle of his work. The tray on his hand fell on the ground, glassware shattering beside him.

"Joshua!"

Jeonghan came out of the counter and held him in his arms.

"Hey, Shuji-ah! Can you hear me?" He tapped on Joshua's shoulder but received no response. Jeonghan tried to do the same thing for a minute until Joshua's expression changed. And out of nowhere he started to speak.

"In a place full of happiness,
Terror will take place.
Lives of young and old
Will be threatened.

Young people with brave souls
Charge and save everyone,
But one will be put on
Their near death when the night falls."

Jeonghan was beyond confused. Usually, Joshua always gives a warning if he's about to see the future. But today was not the same as before.

"Everything happened so fast, it's all vague and blur. As soon as I wake up, Jeonghan received a call and told us about what happened. If I can only see things clear." Joshua was still sniffing, his head looking down at his feet.

Hoshi hugged him, rubbing some circles on his back to comfort him. "Joshua-hyung, it's not your fault. This is out of your control, you never, ever, expected this."

"I'm so… useless." Joshua buried his face on his shoulder, his muffled sobbing weakened Hoshi inside.

Mingyu shakes his head in disagreement. "No hyung, I'm the one to blame here. I lead them to do it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I put everyone in trouble."

On Mingyu's cue, Seungkwan stands up and this action got the madman's attention instantly.

"Stop blaming the superpowered, old man! That's obviously a YOU problem. I have nothing to do with it." Seungkwan provoked him with his sass, successfully locking eyes with the madman.

His chuckle was humorless. "Oh? You're one of those scums, eh? Just wait and I will blow that bloated head of yours." He was walking closer to where Seungkwan stands.

Mingyu mentally smirks as his plan was working accordingly. Chan held Hansol's shoulder, preparing to support Hansol. Myungho was also waiting for the right timing.
