Harry's POV
"BAY, NO!"
It's too late... I can't stop her... Before I could process what she was doing, she had already drank the poison.
"You stupid girl!" Marie is beyond pissed. "You've ruined everything! You were supposed to kill him! Not you! Now it's going to look as if we attacked our own people!"
"Sucks for you." She's still crying but yet she seems so strong.
"Why did you do that?" At this point I can't stop the tears. She's going to die. "Why would you do that Bay? I can't lose you." I grab her shoulders in desperation, wishing I could have talked some sense into her.
"Because now you can't be killed. They can't use me or the poison anymore. I saved you, and that's all that matters." Her voice is weaker now, and strained.
I look up at Marie, angrier than I have ever been in my entire life.
"You little-"
"Harry, stop." James comes in, looking devastated and angry as hell. He turns to Marie. "We're giving you ten seconds to leave now before all hell breaks loose. You do not want to see what we'll do to you."
She seems to get the point, looking angry but now slightly scared.
"Max, let's go."
He nods and the two of them leave through the front door as quick as they can. Doesn't matter either way, I'll kill them both eventually.
"Bay, we could have found another way" Alex says, looking distraught.
"No we couldn't have, and you know it."
She starts to look dizzy and shuts her eyes.
Twelve hours of watching her deteriorate right in front of me. I don't know how I'll ever survive this.
"James, call grandfather. Now." He takes out his phone and quickly dials the number. "Alex, I need you to see if there's any spell that can undo this. Do you know what kind of poison this was?"
"No, but I can definitely find out."
"Okay. Try to find any cures or anything to help her survive this."
He nods and leaves to his room where we had provided him with a computer and spell books.
I look at Bay, who starts to lean on me with tears falling from her eyes.
"You're going to live. You have to."
"I wish I could believe that."
**********
Four hours later and we're all sitting in the living room, and grandfather is on his way. Which means he'll probably be here at any minute.
Bay is laying down on a couch... the poison has already started eating away at her immune system and soon she won't have anything to keep the poison from killing her. And that thought terrifies me.
Alex has been looking for any possible cure, and at this point he's only found out what kind of poison this is. And of course the poison works faster on witches since they have a weaker body, how convenient.
James has been pacing back and forth, calling anyone he can to see if they know what we should do. Not even grandfather knows. In simple terms, we are all in chaos and watching her die in slow motion. All of us know what is happening but all of us are too afraid to speak in fear that it may cause her to wash away.
As a witch, you would think that there would be some kind of spell that could undo a sickness or poison. But Alex says that this kind of poison is rare and no one really knows what to do with it or how to undo it. Yet he hopes that he'll be able to find a solution.
