Ivy/Serenity

It was now midnight and I was still in my beautiful wolf form. It was important to stay in that form till the next morning or afternoon so you could bond with your wolf. I learned a lot tonight and my wolf was just as eager to bond with me as well. I learned her name is Serenity, and another thing is she was of Alpha blood, making her bigger than most and stronger.

It wasn't common in the pack for female wolves to have Alpha blood. Most of them were Betas or Omegas so to be the first female alpha was just as rare as my wolf. I've also learned that serenity is where I draw most of my strength. When my mother would pick on me or when my siblings would make it a mission to let me know how unwanted or useless I was. Serenity was the one giving me the strength not to believe them and the confidence I needed to know my self-worth. Just to know how much she's been there for me when I felt I had no one warms my heart. Wanting to go for a run and hunt for fresh food, Serenity and I sprinted from the tent and into the nearby wilderness. I guess the fruits and sandwiches I made weren't enough for her hunger, but as tradition goes, we had to present an offering to our wolves. I just didn't know how greedy mine is.

I loved the view from my wolf's red velvet-colored eyes. To know that she sees in full color but can switch to black and white to see the scent of a nearby person or prey amazed me even more. The wind flowing through our fur and the earth beneath our paws was exhilarating. Tree bark, grass, moss, and streams of fresh water intoxicated our nostrils. Both Serenity and I were loving the new heightened senses I'd waited so long to finally be me completely.

Getting closer to the water stream, Serenity crouched down, crawling on her belly as she heard and smelled something delicious.

Hiding behind a small bush, she spotted a nice thick, juicy buck. Steadying her breathing,  she crept slowly from behind the bush, letting out a low growl, ready to pounce. The Buck was drinking from the water stream, unable to detect our presence. Getting closer she analyzed where to land her killing bite. The throat.

"First, grab hold with your front paws, dragging it to the ground from there, bite deeply into the neck, and then dig in your back paws to hold on," I coached her on what I've learned from hunting classes. "As the buck struggles do not let go but sink everything in deeper until you hear the snap in his throat.

"When he's down, don't stop until you hear the crack in the neck. "I can hear my thick Dominican accent echo to Serenity just as she pounced on the buck. Doing exactly what she was told, she struck the neck, biting deep with her canines while shaking and tightening her grip. Going limp, the buck was now dead, so she drugged him back to the beach.

Serenity let out a low warning growl not wanting to share with the wolf she sensed was watching them. Even though he had the most delightful smell she's smelled so far she was hungry and wanted her trophy to herself.

Once we got back to the tent, serenity laid down, tearing into the fresh meat of the deer. "come hasta satiate y luego guardaré el resto de la carne"(Eat your fill, then I'll store the rest of the meat). Serenity ignored me while she devoured the thigh and hind leg of our kill. Stopping she let out a low warning growl when she smelled the smell from the woods. Knowing the male was close she continued to growl lowly to let them know she didn't want to be bothered.

I was in my wolf form doing a routine perimeter check for my father. When I saw the most beautiful she-wolf I've ever seen. Her fur was white as snow. Seeing her made my wolf, Chino, purr in delight. Hiding behind a tree we observed how she watched her prey. Right when we pounced, our eyes widened. She was huge. Not only was her color rare, but her height and body were as well. Only alphas were to have this build. Her long sharp claws never loosened as she broke the neck and dragged the buck away. But not before letting out her warning growl. "Supongo que no estábamos tan callados como pensábamos." ( I guess we weren't as quiet as we thought) I chuckled. Just when I was going to follow her, I caught the most pleasant scent I've ever smelled of Coralillo and Cereza, making me and Chino go crazy. "Time to come back," my father ordered through our mind link. I growled lowly to myself as I made my way back to the Main pack house and gave him my report on my rounds.

"I can't get over his smell of honeysuckle and vanilla." My wolf purred. "me dan ganas de lamerlo por todas partes" (makes me want to lick him all over) giggling with her I agreed. We just made our way back to the beach to eat, and she just wouldn't stop talking about the wolf we smelled nearby. I had to admit I was really curious about him as well. It's too early to know if he's a potential mate, yet he could have just smelled nice. Just when we were about to tear into this fresh meat a painful feeling started happening in our stomach. Serenity howled in pain and panted heavily. "Oh no, estamos llegando a nuestro calor" (we're coming into our heat)I groaned to her.

"mierda me duele la cabeza." (Shit my head hurts) Serenity kept whining and a burning sensation started happening at the top of our head. Looking into the hand mirror I had on the ground, a pink diamond shape burned onto the top of it. Her red eyes glowed a shimmery grey. The tip of her white fur turned light pink, and a rush of voices invaded my mind, screaming pain myself. I couldn't keep up with them. "calma cariño"(calm down honey), a soft, familiar voice spoke to me.

"todo tendrá sentido pronto, sabía que eras especial bebé" (I knew you were special baby) "nana?" I asked. Looking back into the mirror, there she stood, my nana. Her hair was long and white, her brown skin glowing. She looked so young and beautiful. Not responding she just kisses my wolf and fades away. The pain subsided, and I instantly fell asleep, letting my wolf take over completely.
