34 - Suzy is a Godzilla Maid of honor

POV Elizabeth Jacobs

2 weeks went by.
I was painting a lot, mostly with Olivia sleeping or playing next to me.

Lorenzo had asked his brother, Marco, and Andrei to be his best men. They all said yes. Andrei had sent me a message thanking me for talking with Lorenzo.

Ana had her ultrasound and told that she and Rick were expecting a baby boy. Nonna was thrilled. Lorenzo was working a lot but came every evening to me. Sometimes I went to sleep without him and woke up with his arms around me.

He was asking me to move and live with him at the house, but I liked my own place so much. So, I promised him that I would move in May. Then I could slowly say goodbye to this place. I was going to miss the apartment. And seeing Olivia, Suzy, and Aiden all the time.

James and I started training together. And he was also teaching me how to drive. I like him a lot, he is a great guy. He is so patient with everything he is teaching me.

Tonight, Lorenzo couldn't come to my apartment. They had to do something with the other men to the warehouse. James would be staying with me to keep me company.

Around 6PM I stopped painting and went up to my apartment, I would start dinner for me and James. Maybe picking out a movie for after that. Walking through the hall, I saw something laying in front of my door. Coming closer I saw a single black Rose....

Picking it up, I tried to stay calm and went inside. Taking a seat, I read the note.

"Congratulations my sweet Elizabeth with your engagement. Don't get too comfortable. I'll strike when you least expect it."

I let it fall on the table. Do I need to tell this to Lorenzo or not? Wondering what to do. 

I was startled when someone knocked on the door. "Lizzy?" I heard James's voice through the door. "Comming." I quickly opened the door for him.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"I got another one..." pointing to the flower.

"Today? Just now?"

I nodded "Yes, I found it before the door when I got back from work. It's only a single flower now."

"Are you okay? Not freaking out?"

"Yes, I'm fine. I was expecting this I think."

"I understand. What do you think?"

"I think that he is waiting for something; I don't know yet what."

"Lizzy, we are telling this to Enzo."

I nodded "Yes, I know. First I thougt about keeping it from him but I know that it is better to tell him. Did you install those cameras in front of my door after last time?"

"Yes, we will look at it." He took his laptop and opened the app. We only saw someone dressed all in black leaving the rose.

I signed "I'll start dinner."

"Okay, I'm staying tonight, I will sleep in the guestroom. I'm going to call Lorenzo and tell him."

"Thanks James."

Luckily that James was good company. He took my mind of that black rose. We watched "the Hangover". James found it a good and funny idea, seeing that Kate's bachelorette party was coming closer. 

After the movie I went to bed and James stayed up watching another movie. In the morning I woke up with Lorenzo next to me, he was already dressed.

"Hey, you, did you sleep well?"
