Dr.Liu's residence, 3:04 p.m
It was a very gloomy 3'o clock with occasional sounds of thundering indicating that it most certainly was going to rain. Having fallen into her deep slumber, Liu Aina was having a very peaceful evening, when, out of nowhere, her phone went off.
Once. Twice. Thrice. It rang three times and Aina blatantly ignored all of them although she was awaken the second time. Lazily picking up the phone off the ground she sat on the sofa she previously dreamt on.
Switching off the tv that was running in the background she sighed looking at the caller id, answering the phone, she balanced it between her ear and shoulder, she stood up to stretch her body a bit.
"What do you want?" She questioned in a meek voice, still feeling lethargic from her previous activity.
"I need a favour." Her cousin responded from the other end.
"Jeez yangyang, what happened to, 'heyy Aie, how's my favourite cousin doing?' and all that?" She teased kneeling down on the floor to declutter the table in-front of her.
"Speak for yourself and you're my only cousin, shut up."
"Mhmm. Get to the point now" she got up, mug and cutleries in hand that she previously used for her lunch, walking to the kitchen.
"So you know how I might have accidentally planned an amazing date for my girlfriend's birthday?" She could hear his tone getting sweeter and sweeter with every word he spoke.
"Mhmm" she nodded although he can't see her.
"And I might have accidentally forgotten to inform you that Jaehyun needs a package that is on the kitchen counter at our place? So~" She could literally feel him scratching the nape of his neck out of embarrassment at the other end.
"No." She deadpanned as she dried her hands after doing the dishes proceeding to end the call before Yangyang spoke again.
"Ainaaaa please, he's really in need of it, deliver it to him by 5, the address is stuck on the fridge-"
"Why, did you accidentally leave the address there too?" Aina mocked him.
"Ahaha funny. I'll make it up to you later, be careful too, thanksbyeiloveyousis" and the line went dead.
Yangyang and Jaehyun bumped into eachother when the elder Liu was studying to become a doctor and, he found out he was going to be sharing dorms with a law major. Both Jaehyun and yangyang bonded through their years of uni. They were still the best of friends when both of them got jobs and when yangyang became a doctor and the same happened with Jaehyun, with his career.
Both Aina and Jaehyun weren't familiar with each since they barely ever met. The only interactions she'd had with him was when he came over to Yangyang's place to play with Liu's consoles during their vacation. She only remembered glimpses of memeories with Jaehyun when they were young, since they were barely associated with one another.
Aina exhaled a deep sigh as she fixed her lilac sweater and white shorts. She realised it's going to be awkward meeting him after so many years and she had no idea what he looked like and she's pretty sure even he wouldn't recognise who Aina was anyway.
She picked up the package and the piece of paper which was barely hanging on to the fridge magnet revealing the address to Jeong's residence. She noticed that it started raining—Correction—pouring outside since she started getting ready. She contemplated whether to actually go in this weather just for a package but considering her cousin called her and asked her to hand it over, it did seem pretty important.
She readied herself by wearing boots and a raincoat, an umbrella in hand and a small backpack on her shoulders which contained the said package. Although she felt like she was back in high school with her choice of attire, she proceeded to secure the doors of the house that she was staying at.
Yangyang was kind enough to give her a room at his place. Aina thought that the suburban land that her cousin lived in was one of the best places for her to research and work on her graduation project this year. A budding photographer that she was, she lived for the aesthetics around her and found life in the simplest of things. She very specifically loved capturing moments and people. But deviating from her domain seemed like a risky win for her new project.
Hence, she's been here for three months now, and we could say that her inspiration had been on hold for a week now. Aina almost lost all her motivation and lazed around doing barely nothing every day.
Halfway through her fifteen minute walk to the Jeong's residence she realised she should have brought her camera along with her, although it was raining incredibly bad, it was still beautiful to see the water droplets weighing themselves on the leaves and the tree canopy that she walked under, made the road ahead look beautiful. She wasn't the biggest fan of photographing nature but this beat her to it.
She came to an halt once she stumbled upon a white painted house which had huge glass windows and seemed like it incorporated more greenery than that surrounded her.
Walking past the small front yard, she withered her umbrella. Removing her coat, she raised her hand ready to knock when it suddenly burst open revealing a tall young man.
Since it seemed like he was still conversing with someone inside, she could only see his slim built. Aina stood there, legs frozen to the ground not expecting the sudden action which caused both their bodies to clash.
"Oh I'm so sorry, are you alright?" The boy spoke in a deep voice. His arms supporting her own to prevent her from falling. She slowly opened her eyes, one by one to find a boy with dark brown irises which complimented his chestnut hair falling over his eyes.
She straightened herself, apologising for not reacting as well. "Um, Mr.Jeong?" She asked not really knowing how else to proceed.
"Oh-" he smiled, which led his eyes to almost close fully, he seemed very cheeky and lively for somebody going out on a gloomy day she thought. "I'm Jisung, the one you're looking for is my brother, he's inside." He said pointing towards the door.
"Oh my bad. I-I came here to drop the package that yangyang gave me? I'm his cousin by the way. I'm Aina." She mentally scolded herself for stuttering and panicking. What's gotten into you Aie, you aren't in the wrong building or anything. Stop being nervous.
"Oh right in time then-JAE GET YOUR ASS HERE ASAP" Aina stood there bread faced as she waited for him to stop shouting. "I'll get going then." He gave her another eye smile before opening his umbrella and walking out.
Her eyes wandered waiting for the said male to appear in-front of her as she wondered why Jisung would go out in this heavy rain. Although, she felt intrusive since she tried peeking inside the house to get a better view of the interior from where she was standing. I mean, she would be lying to herself if she didn't find the whole glass house effect attractive.
Seconds felt like minutes until she saw a male who was as tall as the previous one made his way towards the front of the door. Brown hair that almost covered the nape of his neck, and bangs which almost covered his eyebrows. His deer like eyes matched her own orbs while a soft smile grazed his plumpy lips.
"Oh no. What if you're gay?"
