I climbed out of the car that drove me to my father's house. I gave the driver a small awkward smile as I proceeded to the front of the house.

Aleksander's house help kept on insisting to drive me but I guess it made sense as I was kind of part of his household.

It still didn't sit right with me.

I entered the house and marched straight to Calvino's room.

Why?

Because he was the first person I wanted to see and question.

Once I stood outside his door I could hear noises outside and was already sceptical. I took a deep breath and swung open the door to see my brother making out with someone.

My mouth opened with shock because never in a million years would I think of my brother as the hookup type.

"What the fuck, Scarlett!?" He yelled as a wide grin spread across my face.

"Damn, where'd he find you?" I teased as the stranger blushed. "Calvino introduce us." I prompted, watching him put back on his shirt.

"Look, Scarlett, it's not what it looks like," He began walking towards me. "I-I'm not gay."

I laughed as I heard those words leave my brother's mouth. "Cal, I already knew you weren't into girls. I'm surprised you had it in you to bring someone home into your father's house."

"Wait, you knew? And you never asked me?"

"I was just waiting for you to come out. I never wanted to force you to tell me. Now before I get mad at you, who's your little friend?" I grinned at the man who sat awkwardly on the bed with a smile.

"H-He's just, well, he's more like,"

He finally got up and came over to shake my hand. "I'm his fiance's brother." He chuckled.

My mouth widened in shock. "W-what!?" I gasped. "Are you sure that's smart considering-."

"Aren't you married to our father's enemy's son?"

My gaze turned to Calvino and I began to get angry again. "Shut the fuck up. As much as I'm happy for you and proud you don't have to hide your sexuality from me anymore, I'm still unbelievably pissed at you."

Calvino and I glared at each other before he turned to look at his, whatever he's called.

"Maybe I should start leaving, Cal, Text me if your sister doesn't kill you when you're done." He chuckled.

Calvino and him shared a small kiss, which caused me to smile but I quickly wiped it away.

Once he left it was just Calvino and I.

"Why'd you come here?" He asked, looking in the other direction.

"To get shit off my chest." I explained.

"Go ahead." He said, rolling his eyes.

"Firstly, you're a fucking cunt for ratting me out to Dad. That wasn't your position. Even though you were worried about me, you really think after all you witnessed, Aleksander would actually hurt or kidnap me?"

"Secondly," I began, taking a deep breath to make sure I don't get too emotional. "I hate how everyone always compares me to my mother. Yes, I understand she impacted your lives but it doesn't give you guys the right to compare me to her all the time and make me feel like literal shit."

"And thirdly, it wasn't you or Aleksander's call to trick me into marrying him-,"

"Wasn't our call!?" He exclaimed, interrupting me. "Would you prefer Tobi-,"

"Let me finish." I said sternly. "As I was saying. It wasn't your call. I actually wanted nothing to do with Aleksander because he just wanted to use us to get an advantage over our mafia. Not to mention he literally made out with Anastasia like I meant nothing to him. You think I want anything to do with that?"

"Look, I understand, Scarlett but I don't believe you on the last one. And it's quite embarrassing that you'd jump to conclusions before asking your husband that clearly loves you so much."

I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

"I'm serious. Aleksander loves you more than anyone else in this world. He needs you to function and if you're mad at him he's going to be more a dick than he already is. So please maybe you should go talk to him."

"Concerning ratting you out to Dad, I'm genuinely really sorry. I know it wasn't in my position but I was paranoid and back then I didn't trust Aleksander. But now I do. And I'm sorry for telling you mom would be disappointed. It was wrong of me. You're literally my best friend and the best sister I could ask for. Mom would be so proud of you."

I smiled, giving him a tight hug. "I'm sorry," He said again.

"I forgive you," I smiled.

"Wait," He said, pulling away. "You're not going to tell Dad I'm gay to get back at me, are you?"

I chuckled, slightly. "Dad and I actually had a conversation about this. He asked me if you were gay and I said probabaly and he just sighed and said okay. Although I think you should talk to him about it." I encouraged.

He nodded his head slowly. "Alright, thank you." We walked out of his room. "Are you leaving now?"

Before I could answer, my Dad's voice said, "Not until she has a word with me."

A little short, yes, but at least it's an update and Calvino's a hypocryt
