PSA: This takes place in 1985 while Billy is still alive AKA before the events of Season 3. Also, this is the second time this has been published because I got Carol from S1 & S2 and Tammy from S3 & S4 mixed up so... oops.

Y/N's POV:

I get woken up by the alarm clock on my bedside table. I'm not a morning person so I let out an annoyed groan as I reached over to stop the annoying sound. I heard a gentle knock on my bedroom door and as I look up, I see the door creak open. My parents and little sister creeped in, my dad holding a lit birthday cake. "Happy Birthday to you." They started to sing, causing me to groan and hide myself under my bedsheets. As they continue singing, they walk into my room and my sister pulls the cover from over me. They finish singing and start clapping. "Happy 18th, baby." My mum says, smiling. "Make a wish before Erica does it for you." My dad jokes. I smile at Erica as I see her smirking at me. Jokingly or not, I quickly blow out my candles for safety. They applaud again. "So, do you have any plans for after school?" Mum asks me. "Um, I'm not sure. My friends did say they have something planned for today so they could be doing something for me." My parents smiled and nodded as I spoke. "That sounds good, just update us whenever you can. Now, we'll leave so you can get ready." They said as they walked out of my room. I sighed as I realised I actually have to get out of my warm bed. I groan as I stand up, stretch and enter my en-suite bathroom as I get myself ready for the day.

I cheerfully exit my room after a quick shower and a change of clothes. I put on my favourite blue and yellow sweater vest with a long sleeve black shirt underneath and black skirt. I let my afro out and put gold butterfly clips within it. "Ooo, someone's looking fancy." My mum says as I sit at the dining table next to Erica. As she starts to dish our food, Lucas emerges from his room. "Our son's alive." Dad says as he peeked over his newspaper and Lucas sits at the table next to me. "Good morning." I say, leaning towards him. In his half-asleep state, he looks up at me and nods his head in greetings. As we dig into breakfast, I check the clock on the wall and remember I'm being picked up. "Oh, I need to go. My friend is picking me up." I say as I quickly finish up my food, put my plate in the sink and hurry to my room to get my school bag. I run back into the dining room, kiss my mum, dad and Erica on the head and flick the side of Lucas' head. "I'll let you wish me happy birthday later!" I yell as I run to the door.

As I shut the front door behind me, I spot a familiar van as I run up to find Eddie Munson leaning against it. He sees me running to him and dramatically clears his throat. "Milady! Your birthday chariot awaits." He exclaims as he bows towards me. I curtsey as he opens the passenger door for me. "Good morrow, Eddie the Held-back." I hold in a laugh as I climb into the van. I see his face scrunch up at the name. He shuts the door and goes round the driver's side. "Y'know, I don't need to give you a ride. I thought I was doing something nice cause it's your birthday and you're my dearest friend but if you're gonna be like that then..." He sighs as he pulls a sad face and pretends to hold back tears. You lean over and wipe away his imaginary tears. "I'm sorry, I took it too far. Thank you for giving me a ride." I say, sympathetically. He smiled at me as he turns on the engine and pulls out of the driveway. Iron Maiden blasts through the radio as we make our way towards school.

"So, what are your plans for the day?" Eddie asks me. "Um, I'm not sure. I think Carol's planning something for me today but I'm not sure." I say, looking at the car mirrors and fiddling with my butterfly clips. "Uh huh. That sounds... fun." He said, holding back laughter. I gently slap his arm. "Hey, I know you don't like some of my friends but if they're doing something nice for me, you'll let them off the hook, right?" I ask. "Hun, you don't even like your friends. You don't even see their 'queen bee bitchiness' that they give you." He responded. "Well, I-" I stammer out. Eddie snapped his fingers and pointed at me. "There it is. All those D&D campaigns yet you still can't lie." He said in a sing-song way. "They have their days. I'll admit, they've gotten more bitchy towards me since Billy joined last year. It's like they think I'm some sort of threat when I clearly show zero interest towards him. Once they realise, I'm sure they'll go back to being nice. Nancy has always been nice to me though."
