A.N: Death isn't something I'd wish upon my worst enemy... unless we're talking about my enemy, the Duffer Brothers. Fuck you, Duffer Brothers, you know what you've done.

Y/N's POV:

"So, can I have any kind of hint for this present?" I asked. He smirked at the question. "Hmm, okay let's see. Do you remember that campaign we finished a few months ago? I believe you were a elvish bard called Kezia, who landed herself quite the boyfriend by the end? By the name of Barron? " He replied.

~Months ago~

3rd Person POV:

"You approach the tavern. It's rather quiet but you can see the inside lanterns are still lit. Outside, stands a tielfing leaning next to the door. What would you guys like to do?" Eddie asked, sat behind his DM screen. "Let's lay low within the trees and examine the place." Jeff said. "Okay, can everyone make an insight check?" Eddie asked, leading to the collective noise of dice rolling across the table. "17!" Y/N exclaimed. A sea of high numbers emerged from the party. "Good rolls, guys. So, what exactly do you want to check out?" Eddie asked. As the other party members said what they'd like to do and Eddie elaborated, Y/N sat and thought of her next move. "Um, I'd like to know more about the half demon." Y/N said. "With a 17, you can tell he's a guard, almost like a bouncer. You can see he looks extremely bored standing out there so late at night." Eddie replies. "Can I see if he has a wedding ring or anything like that?" She asked. "Uh, no rings are on his fingers. Y/N turns to the party. "Okay, I'll go distract the guard while you guys go in through the back." She said.

"I'm gonna walk up to him and just go like 'Hey.' and flip my hair." Y/N described. The party snickered at her acting. "Are you gonna seduce him?" Gareth asked me. "Hell yeah" She simply replied, gaining laughter from the party. "He looks you up and down and says 'Hey' back at you." Eddie responds. "I'm not gonna lie to you, I've had a long night. I've lost my party, I could really use some security for the night and you look like a lovely candidate. Does this inn have a bar?" Y/N acts out. "Roll for persuasion." Eddie says, smiling at her roleplay. "Nat 20!" She yells, laughing. Eddie leans forward, towards Y/N. " He looks into your eyes, almost like he's under a spell. 'Sure it does. Allow me.' He opens the door for you." He acts. "I signal to the others that I've got him under control." Y/N explains. "Cool. So, you and the guard are inside, leaving the party to make their own way in." Eddie explains, leading to the party talking amongst themselves.

~Present time~

Y/N's POV:

"Yeah, and I distracted him until I heard the battle start. He joined the fight, became an honorary member of the party and by the end of the campaign, they were dating." I recalled. "Wait, that's the clue?" He turned to look at me as I asked him. "That's all I'm giving ya." He responded, smiling as he drove. I simply sat back, thinking of all the possibilities. After 15 minutes of driving towards the town's edge, he pulls into a parking lot. "Here we are." Eddie says, turning off the engine. I opened the van door, looking at the small row of stores in front of me. The one he'd parked in front of was a tattoo parlour called Inky Heaven. Eddie opens the back of his van and takes out his bag. "Eddie, am I right in guessing why we're here?" I ask, still staring at the parlour. He locks the van and walks next to me. "I'm not sure, let's see." He says, grabbing my hand and walking me in.

Heavy metal was playing through a nearby radio as we walked in. Since it was a weekday, around 2pm, it wasn't that busy but there were a few people already getting tattoos done. Eddie walks up to the receptionist. "Hey there." She greets him. "I guess this is the lucky girl." She remarks, eyeing me up and down. "Yup, first tat." He replies, resting himself on the counter. "Well, you know what to do. Go over to Kara and Pete over there, they'll be your artists for today." She pointed over to two artists, talking in the corner. "Thanks." He responded before pulling me towards the waiting seats. "Okay, I just wanna double check that this is okay with you. I know I should've asked you beforehand but that would've ruined the surprise. And I have these designs that we could get that-" As Eddie rambled on, I grabbed his face and gave him a quick peck on the lips, much to his surprise. "Let me see the designs then." I say while I see he tries to process what just happened. "Uh, yeah." His face was bright red and he catches his breath and fumbles through his bag to get his sketchbook. I've never seen him flustered; it's a good look on him.
