Family Bonding

Sky POV

"Hi company. Sorry I didn't call ahead." Clint says as Laura comes out to give him a hug.

Tony is not buying the act, "This is an agent of some kind."

"Gentleman, this is Laura." Clint says proudly.

Laura laughs as everyone shocked expressions, "I know all your names."

I hear stampeding as Cooper and Lila run in. "Ooh, incoming." He grunts as he picks up Lila.

"These are...smaller agents." Tony continues on which makes Nat and I laugh.

Lila asks her dad, "Did you bring Auntie Nat and Auntie Sky?"

Nat and I bend down and run over to Cooper and Lila, "Why don't you hug them and find out?" 

Steve as the gentleman goes over to Laura, "Sorry for barging in on you."

"Yeah, we would have called ahead, but we were busy having no idea that you existed." Tony mumbles.

"Yeah, well Fury helped me set this up when I joined. He kept it off SHIELD's files, I'd like to keep it that way. I figure it's a good place to lay low." Clint tells the team as everyone agrees to be quiet about it.

Nat goes over to Lauram "How's little Natasha, huh?"

Laura admits, "She's...Nathaniel."

Nat bends towards Laura's pregnant stomach, "Traitor." Laura and I laugh at her betrayed expression.

"Good to see you Laura," I say as I give her a give, "This is Pietroa nd Wanda Maximoff I know them from y days in hydra." I explain.

Laura pulls the two young adults into motherly hugs, "It's so nice to meet you both."

As everyone begins to settle in Thor walks out of the house, Steve and I begin too follow him but her quickly states, "I saw something in that dream. I need answers, I won't find them here."

He uses his hammer to fly away leaving Steve and I on the porch. I look over and ee Steve is in his own world, "Hey, you feeling ok after everything?" I ask.

Steve shrugs but tries to smile, "I will be, just a lot on my mind."

"Memory, nightmare or vision?" I ask him.

He gets a haunted look before whispering, "All of them." I give him a light hug before we continue back into he house.

"Alright so room arrangements, unfortunately this snit the Stark tower so everyone get s a bunk buddy!" Clint says with mock enthusiasm.

After long debate we decided that Tony and Steve get one of the spare rooms. Bruce and Thor can take the other spare room if Thor gets back. If Thor doesn't return tonight then Nat can take his bed. Nat and I will take Lilas room, she will crash with Cooper. Which leaves Pietro and Wanda in the living room.

I went to the kitchen and saw Laura was starting dinner, "Need any help?"

"Actually that would be great. Could you start pealing the potatoes and then cute the iceberg lettuce?" Laura asked me.

"Sounds great." I say as I put my hair up in a messy bun.

Half an hour later we are almost finished dinner preparations as we see Tony and Steve outside chopping wood in a competition. Nat and Bruce are in the living room looking at old photos of Lila and Cooper. Clint is in the barn messing with some machines while Wanda and Pietro are outside reading together. 

Throughout our dinner preparations I kept looking over at Pietro and Wanda to check on them. "So what is happening there?" Laura chuckles at my confused face.

"Sorry what?" I ask.

Laura looks as Pietro and starts to laugh as my face turned red as a tomato, "Oh haha, nothing at all. We are just good friends from when we were both with Hydra. But Nat and Bruce look pretty comfortable if you ask me." I mention.

We both turn and look at the cute pair, both sipping tea with a photo book in their lap, "About time if you ask me." Laura mumbles until re-thinking, "But I also always saw Nat and Steve as a potential power couple."

"Amen to that, guess we will see what happens." I laugh. The oven goes off signalling the roast beef is finished, "I'll go get the team outside."

Steve and Tony head inside with Clint as they debate the mechanical innovation of a tractor, idiots. I head over to Wanda and Pietro who are around the corner of the house, "Hey guys dinner is ready."

"Thanks Sky," Wanda says. "Also I am so so sorry about what happened earlier today. If I had known we could join the team or that you would have jumped in front of Bruce things would to have gone that way."

"It's ok I forgive you, you didn't mean to hurt me and you both were just doing what you thought was right at the time." I sympathize.

Wanda heads inside after that as I sit next to Pietro on wooden fence of Clint and Lauras porch. I put my head on his shoulder as we both let out a sigh of exhaustion, "It has been a long day." I mumble.

He laughs in response before putting an arms around my waist, "Ain't that the truth princesa."

"I missed you." I admit as we watch the sun set.

Pietro looks at me, "I missed you so much, I kept hoping I would see you and thank god I did."

A piece of hair falls into Pietro's blue eyes, I brush it aside with my hand before resting it on his check. In the golden lighting Pietro's eyes look like an ocean I could get lost in. And I do momentarily.

As he opens his mouth to say something to me we hear Steve yell around the corner of the house, "Sky, Pietro you guys coming in?"

We are both so startled that we fall off of the fence, Pietro falls onto the grass with a grunt before I land on top of him. Little did we know that the fence was overlooking a grassy hill, meaning that we start to roll down the hill. Pietro wraps his arms around me while we fall as we both yell.

After we stop rolling I flop off of Pietro as we lie on our backs looking at the orange sky. I turn my head as Pietro and I lock eyes, we are slightly covered in dirt and grass as we burst out laughing. 

He gets up first and gives me his hand as he helps pull me up. We starts walking up the small hill and see the entire team with Laura, Lila and Cooper laughing at us. Even Thor managed to return for this sight.

Before anyone can say anything I just walk into the house yelling, "Let's eat!"

Laura and I made mashed potatoes, roast beef, ceaser salad and fruit crumble for desert. All of the Avengers have no other family than the team and we are all either risking our lives fighting aliens, robots or sorcerers. Meaning we have little time for family dinners, so this meal was special for everyone.

For an hour we all just sat around a table eating home made food acting like a normal family. 

When dinner was over we made the guys do the dishes while the rest of us talked strategy for tomorrow. We decided we would go retrieve the cradle in the morning and go from there. After hat we all went to our rooms and got ready for bed.

I am getting changed into black and white flannel pants with a black tank top when Nat enters our room for the night. "Fyi Thor isn't staying the night so I will sleep in one of the spare rooms with the guys to give you more space in here." She says.

"Ok sounds good, make good choices and remember that kids are in the house," I joke as Nat begins to blush, "Goodnight."

"Night Sky." She laughs as she leaves. 

I read for a bit in bed before turning out the lights for the night.
