Girl to Girl

Sky POV

"Oh my god, Wanda!" I say as we embrace each other. "Wait you guys could join me, you don't have to go back to Hydra you guys could help protect Sokovia with these people instead."

Pietro walks over to us a bit more cautiously. "So you work with Stark?"

"I talked with him the first day I joined the Avengers, he said that those missiles sent to Sokovia were not from him. Were they his technology? Yes." I guilty respond. "but when he found out how other organizations were using his weaponry, he stopped manufacturing everything." I try to reassure them.

Both of them look skeptical. "Would I lie to you guys?" I plead.

"No, but I thought you were on our side," Wanda says defensively.

I was worried this would happen. "I am." I insist. "You guys want revenge on the people that bombed your city and you want to protect Sokovia. You can do both of those things even better with the Avengers than with Hydra."

"You know how we feel about Stark Princesa," Pietro responds.

It is then that Steve and Nat decide to show up. Just as they are about to yell at me for 'fraternizing with the enemy' I freeze their feet to the ground. "Don't even think about it," I tell Nat and Steve before I turn to my friends. "Wanda and Pietro this is Captain America and my sister Nat."

"Sky what are you doing?" Nat asks worriedly.

"During my time with Hydra I met these two and we became best friends until of course I was sent back to The Red Room," I say as I try to not scare off an already startled Wanda and Pietro.

"I don't trust this," Nat says just as Tony comes flying over as well with his repulsors at the ready.

"Neither do I," Pietro says as he picks up Wanda about to run. "Until we meet again Princesa." He says with a final wink at me before speeding off.

"Tony No!" I yell just as Tony starts firing at the retreating twins I try to deflect his blasts with balls of ice and snow. He begins to follow them into the forest I stop him by melting some of the snow around us and turning it into a lasso, as I wrap it around Tony's waist I freeze it. Leaving him stuck in the air so he can't chase after Pietro and Wanda.

"Dammit!" I scream as I throw some icicles at a tree in frustration.

I reverse Nat and Steve's frozen feet and Tony's lasso when I know they won't chase the twins as I storm back to the jet before collapsing on a corner seat in defeat. During the whole flight back I just glare out the window beside me, ignoring any questions from my teammates.

When we land I storm to my bedroom and slip under the dark blue covers of my queen-sized bed, thank you Tony Stark for being rich. I just lie in bed for a while as I process what just happened and how I am feeling about that.

I am brought out of my sulking as Nat knocks on my door. "Hey ice queen, we are thinking of having a movie night after dinner which is in 10 if you are up for it." After no response, she continues to bait me. "We are having Phad Thai." Silence once again even though that is one of my favorite foods. She tried the door once more but it is still locked. "Or we can talk about whatever happened on that missi-"

I swing open my door to stop her from talking about the twins. "Dinner sounds good I just need to get changed." She thankfully picks up on the fact that I don't want to talk about the mission.

A few minutes later I go downstairs in grey sweatpants, a black tank top, and a black fuzzy cardigan. "And the snow queen has left her layer," Tony drawls on.

My only response is freezing the fancy glass of rum he has in hand.

As we all sit down for dinner Tony begins explaining the importance of having a celebration party for the retrieval of Loki's scepter. Like he ever needed a reason for a party.

I was replaying the events that happened on the mission as Thor asks the question we have all been walking around. "So who were those enhanced in the field?"

I stop mid-motion of drinking water as everyone on the team slowly turns to look at me. "Ya Sky who were they?" Nat inquires.

"Their names are Pietro and Wanda, I spent my time with them in Hydra. We all were being experimented on at the same time and we became very close. The last time I saw them was the night before being brought back to The Red Room." I tell the team as I stare at the water glass on the table in front of me. "They have reservations about the Avengers due to the bombings in their hometown in Sokovia." I look at Tony as I say this and he instantly knows what I am referring to.

"How did they end up in Hydra lady Sky?" Thor asks.

I start to get nervous knowing what is about to happen. "They signed up in order to help protect Sokovia."

Tony stands up in protest. "I'm sorry, are you saying that they joined Hydra willingly?!"

I stand up as I challenge him. "It is not that simple, it's similar to what Steve did."

"We are not at war!" Tony fires back.

"They are," Steve responds calmly.

Clint joins the conversation. "The girl seems alright but that boy? Man was he a pain in the ass!"

I storm over to him as the temperature of the room drops a bit. "He is anything but, and for you or anyone else  to judge him before having a conversation with him is absolutely preposterous!" I seethe.

The team has not been exposed to many of my blowups but when I get mad it is not pretty.

Nat walks over to me calmly. "Sky what is up with you and this boy?"

"I don't need to explain that to any of you," I calmly state over my shoulder as I walk back to my room.

I spend the rest of the night with the lights dimmed as I watch another episode of Superstore with a blanket over my head. I fall asleep with my computer running but I am stirred awake as Nat comes into my room and turns off my computer.

"Night Sky," she says as pulls my blanket up to my chest.

"Night Nat," I mumble half asleep.

The next morning I woke up to the sound of drills and people talking. After getting changed into a burgundy workout set I go downstairs and see a bunch of people setting up the living room for a party.

I walk into the gym and watch Steve and Nat spar for a few minutes, after Steve pins Natasha I walk over to the mats. "Need another partner captain?"

"I think that would be in order," Steve responds.

Two hours later I am tired from sparring and sore from weight lifting. I go up to the roof of the compound to have some fresh air and clear my head from this Maximoff drama. 

Because it is summer in New York and I just finished training with Captain America for 2 hours I begin to overheat. After a few gestures with my hands, the air that surrounds me becomes as cold as a fridge while I look out at the city skyline.

Pietro already has a strong fandom from one movie. I always laugh and cry thinking about how large his fandom would be if he didn't actually die in one movie.

I am hoping to regularly uploas one chapter a week until summer vacation but I have a few saved up right now to publish so enjoy.
