cayley and eddie had been dating for about 7 months now. she was so happy she finally had someone to care for her. her parents would always be out of town on business trips but she never wanted to go with them when they moved so she just stayed in hawkins, alone. but she had eddie, robin, steve, jonathan, nancy, and the kids. she thought things would be different, she never thought she'd be with the one and only Eddie Munson. but look where she is now.

cayleys pov:
' ugh im sick and tired of school nance. why cant u just skip with me! ' i say.

"because cayley! you have to pass! you skipped almost 3 days last week! you're gonna get expelled one day!" she replies.

"i don't care! school is so boring. i just want to stay home and sleep."

"too bad cayley. you're going to be here all day whether you like it or not!"

"whatever nance. lets just get this day over w-" i try to say but someone cuts me off.

"cayley caldwell~" i hear eddie say.
i turn around,

"eddie munson" i say with a smirk.

he grabs me by my waist and starts pulling me towards him to kiss him. as we're about to kiss, i swerve him.

"really cayley? was that necessary?" he says sadly and annoyed.

"yes it was." i said whilst smiling at him.
but then i give him a quick peck and wave bye and go to class.

it feels like an eternity that i've been sitting here in this boring math class. the teacher talks nonstop and i just wish she'd shut up. she's so... UGH sometimes, yk?

the bell finally rings and i quickly gather my stuff, it was my last class of the day, but it feels like i've been there all day. i get to go home, finally. i get to have alone time, i might drive over to eddies work to see him and robin, or maybe i'll just go shopping. i have nothing else to do.
(he works at scoops pretend steve doesn't work there but eddie does instead)

i make it to the mall, i decide to go to the nearest dress shop, i get this red silk dress that fits my body perfectly. i hope it'll impress eddie one day. maybe he'll ask me on a date. i mean we have been dating for a long while, so we go on casual dates every once in a while. when he's not working of course.

"eddie! get out here'' robin says as soon as she sees me.

"what the hell do you want!" eddie says as he's walking out of the back.

"hi eddie" i say.

"thank the lord you're here! she's so annoying i couldn't stop thinking about how much i wanted to see you!"

"can you guys go sweet talk in the back please, but no sex. it's a mall for christs sake." robin says desperately.

"woah woah woah who said anyth-" eddie tried to say as i pulled him into the back ignoring what robin said. of course i wasn't gonna have sex with eddie in the mall, im still a virgin and mall sex doesn't sound very pleasing for a "first time.''
_________________________________ i have been at scoops for about 1 hour 47 minutes or so, and i hear robin yell for eddie to get his ass out there. i was guessing it was the little girl that would always ask for samples after having them everyday. i think her name is erica. lucas' sister.

poor him.

i sat there while eddie went to deal with the situation, erica finally walks away and eddie sighs. this group of girls from school come up to the counter. a blonde, and two brunettes. the blonde ones name was rachel and brunette 1's name was susan whilst brunette 2's name was danielle, they all asked for strawberry ice cream, eddie scoops the ice cream and the two brunettes walk away. the blonde on the other hand, stays at the counter.

"so, whats a hot guy like you doing working here, at a place like this?" she asked.

"getting money?" eddie says questioning her.

"we should go out sometime, like you know, the movies are just around the corner. maybe after your shift?" she says while messing with the collar of his shirt.

"i- um.. i dont really-" eddie starts getting uncomfortable and i interfere with the conversation

"hey babe! oh. hey rachel! i heard you talking to my boyfriend. what was it about again?" i ask confidently.

"cayley you don't have t-" eddie tries to stop me from getting pissed.

"a date was it? sorry sweetheart, he's busy. with his girlfriend." i say whilst smiling.

she just stands there.

"if you didn't get the memo. that's me. so i suggest you back off." i say with a threatening tone.
she finally walks away. i wasn't about to put up with that any longer i'll tell you that for sure.

"that wasn't necessary." eddie says kinda disappointed in me.

i didn't feel bad. i felt proud. eddie knows how i feel when it comes to standing up to people. i only really do it when it comes to him and jonathan. i worry about jonathan a lot, and i'm protective over steve. i don't wanna lose eddie and jonathan has trauma and i'll always watch over him. and besides, jonathan is dating my best friend. of course i'm gonna look after him.

eddie looked at me and then got back to scooping ice cream. i scoffed and walked away. i grabbed my stuff from the back and left.
im kinda pissed at eddie right now. he probably would've told the girl he'd go on the date with her. that's why he got mad at me for defending him. he knows that i get jealous easily. that's partially the reason i made that girl leave, but it seemed like he didn't want me to do that. honestly i don't want to talk to eddie right now. i just want to sleep it off and go do something fun tomorrow. maybe with nancy and jonathan. or maybe the kids wanna do something.

i guess we'll see.

A/N: ok so idk if this chapter is too long but honestly i'm just bored. it's currently 1:14 am and i'm exhausted. i don't even think this book will be finished anytime soon, so if you read this. don't expect this book to be finished very quickly. btw i love erica, i just said 'poor him' for the story because a lot of people think her asking for samples over and over is annoying. sorry xx.
