A/N: Thanks you @plainjanegatsby on Twitter for this amazing idea! Here is my attempt at writing Polin's first kiss using Nathan and Haley's first kiss as a foundation/the dialogue. This takes place the night after Pen overheard Colin and the guys. I hope y'all enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!!

The rain soaked through Colin's coat, sending a chill down his spine as he tossed another stone at the window. He was about to throw another one when a voice came from behind him.

"If your goal is to wake my mother up, keep going. I'm confident you'll succeed, as that is the window to her bedchambers." Penelope practically had to yell over the sound of the rain as she crossed her arms and sighed at him. This man was truly impossible.

Colin dropped the remaining pebbles in his hands as Penelope turned to walk away but he raced to block her path. "Penelope, wait. Please let me apologize." Colin was on the verge of getting on his knees and begging her to listen. Penelope sighed of frustration.

"You should buy them in bulk if you're gonna hand them out this often." Colin sighed. "Please, I... look I don't know how to do this. I'm not like you, Pen."

Penelope furrowed her brow. "What is that supposed to mean?" She exclaimed.

"Look, I screw up a lot. I don't always think before I act or say things and I just...being around you I don't want to be that guy anymore." Colin stepped closer to her. His heart ached at the sight of her red curls clinging to her face and shoulders from the rain. Penelope shook her head and took a step back.

"Well, then who do you want to be, Colin?!" She yelled. "I want to be someone who is good enough to be seen with you!" He yelled back. Penelope was caught of guard but composed herself quickly.

"Yes, well you should've thought about that last night! You know, I keep putting myself out there and you just keep breaking my heart, over and over and over again! But it's probably a good thing because at this point, there's nothing you can say or do that would surprise me!" She exclaimed.

Colin willed himself forward and pressed his lips to hers. Her lips were full and soft and absolutely perfect for kissing. He wondered how none of the other men in the ton hadn't noticed this before him. Colin pulled back and looked into her beautiful blue eyes.

"Except that." She whispered barely audible over the rain. She looked up at him and shook her head. "You really shouldn't have done that, Colin." She said quietly. Colin nodded.

"I know, but...I wanted to." He explained softly. Penelope nodded her head. "Yeah." She replied. They stared into each other's eyes and Colin thought he had really messed everything up.

And then, before she could stop herself, Penelope leaped forward and kissed him again. She wrapped her arms around his neck as her mouth tasted his. She felt his arms wrap around her waist and he lifted her off the ground, pulling her into him. Their mouths danced together as they explored one another with their hands.

Colin set her back down and Penelope laced her fingers through his hair. She tugged on it slightly, eliciting small moans from him that she quickly swallowed. She pulled him down to her deepening their kiss. Colin's hands roamed down her back passed her hips and found their way to her backside. He squeezed her flesh and pulled her hips into his. Penelope gasped as something hard pressed into her and Colin groaned as the friction of their hips aroused him even more.

Colin broke the kiss first and they stayed tangled in each other's arms, breathless and full of desire for each other. Penelope looked into his blue eyes and dared herself to ask the question. "Does this mean we are courting now?" Colin shook his head as he returned her gaze.

"I meant what I said last night, Pen. I would never dream of courting you. I will never court you." He whispered to her.

Pain, heartbreak, and perhaps even anger flashed through Penelope's eyes. Colin placed his hand against her face and rubbed his thumb across her cheek as he continued his thoughts. "Because, I want to marry you, Penelope Featherington."

And then he pulled her into another glorious kiss that set their bodies on fire. The rain rushed to cool down their bodies that burned with desire and passion for one another, but the fires they had ignited in each other only continued to grow, until their souls were scorched by the others'.

This was Penelope and Colin. And this was love.
