II. The Truth Ritual

Lizzie sent Hope a reassuring smile and a nod to try to convince her to try it as she touched her arm.

Hope nodded as she was trying her best to just go with the flow to make Lizzie happy. She begins to walk over to where she needed to and Andi had the necklace ready for her.

Lizzie just sat down as she watched Hope softly, Andi smiled at the tribrid, "you have extraordinary power, that can get be a burden to handle, try to let your emotions out. You can do so by letting this crystal start your journey to mindfulness," she explained to her as if it didn't sound totally cultish.

If Hope was concentrating properly she would realize that this was bad but she couldn't help but find what Andi was saying made sense. "Okay yeah sure I guess what's the harm," she said.

Andi put the crystal around her neck as the stage shined as glowing yellow, "yellow signifies the first stage, at some point tonight we'll do a truth ritual that will get you past this stage."

Lizzie clapped for Hope smiling at her.

Hope smiled feeling relaxed and was glad about the necklace around her neck. She had no idea what was happening with her but she looked at Lizzie smiling, feeling coaxed by this, "okay sure."

Josie felt worried, Hope said that she would text her when she found Lizzie but she has heard nothing and she should be there by now, she picked up her phone running a hand through her dark hair as she called Hope.

Hope's phone began to ring.

Lizzie stood up knowing it had to be Josie, Andi stepped up, "that's Jo I'm guessing," Lizzie guessed correctly, she looked at Andi who nodded.

"She is an unnecessary distraction," Andi advised Hope, putting her gloved hand on Hope's shoulder.

"Your right, I'll turn it off," Hope says and instead her phone gets taken with the Tribrid not complaining about it. The cult had to focus on getting Hope completely under their control as soon as they could.

Lizzie touched Hope's hand as she smiled at her, "I knew you could do it, now we're in this together," she told her.

Hope smiles hearing Lizzie says that as she was falling deeper for her and the cult. There was something pretty special about this place she hasn't discovered yet.

Lizzie smiled back, dark thoughts going through her mind but had to wait to act on them, it's all a part of Andi's plan. Andi stepped up, "it is time for the truth ritual," she announced.

Hope nods as she was laid down on a table with a device hooked up to her. Anything she says will be the trust and wouldn't be able to lie even if she wanted to.

"Just trust that what you'll be telling will be the truth," Andi tells Hope, "you will reveal past secrets and hidden truths tonight and finally be free."

"Yes I understand, I promise to be completely honest," Hope says not knowing just how intense these questions could get.

Andi did the spell to begin the ritual before starting with the easy question, "do you feel safe?"

Lizzie stood close beside Hope as she took Hope's hand, nodding at her with a smile to help make her feel safe.

"Yes, I feel safe" Hope answered as she felt Lizzie definitely making her feel that way to help with the ritual.

"How do you feel about being a part of all this?" Andi asked. 

"I'm not really sure, I'm conflicted" Hope admitted as there were still concerns but the good news is that she didn't say no.

"There is no reason to be conflicted, Hope, we are here to help you," Andi said to her gently, "now... Your feelings, are they conflicted as well?"

"Yes my feelings are heavily conflicted too and thank you, I understand," Hope says to Andi as she has no idea what's she's about to admit
