Aquila Callisto Black stood at the airport, scanning the crowd for her mother's brother Charlie Swan. To say that she is pissed is an understatement. No, Charlie isn't the one pissing her off. It's because of her living arrangements. She hates it.

Severus Snape smuggled her out of Britain. Aquila, Severus and Dumbledore are the only people who knew what must happen in the Astronomy Tower. She is aware that Dumbledore asked Severus to kill him. She's aware that Severus is on their side. And she is aware that her potion professor is only doing what he must do to keep her safe.

"Aquila, once I die, Severus will send you to your uncle's care. You must stay away from Britain as long as you can. You must stay safe." Dumbledore told her as she sat on the dead in front of the headmaster.

"If my godbrother, bestfriend and sworn sister are going to fight in this wretched war then so am I. You can't just hide me while risking their lives!" Aquila argued. There is no way in hell that she'd let her friends suffer while she takes the easy way out.

"You have to understand Miss Black that you're currently a liability. With the deatheaters infiltrating the ministry and the dark lord residing on Malfoy Manor, they could change your magical guardian to Bellatrix. They could gain control upon the house of Black and Bellatrix can access on your family magic once again. As the current Lady of  your house and a vulnerable student who Potter, Weasley and Granger cares about a lot, you being in the middle would not help." Snape explained.

How can she argue and object when their argument does make sense? Since Voldemort is so hell bent on taking over Britain, he wouldn't focus on America. And what better place is there to hide than the small town of Forks?

"Aquila? Is that you?" She heard a man asked from behind her. All her irritation disappeared as her eyes fell onto his uncle Charlie's figure. She rushed towards him and hugged him tightly. Charlie didn't hesitate to reciprocate the hug with the same intensity.

No they weren't around each other at all. Aquila used to visit him before she entered Hogwarts and that was almost seven years ago. But they have this peculiar bond where showing affection isn't hard to do. It was because they are each other's last connection to Luna Black, nee Swan. Aquila was the perfect mixture of Sirius and Luna thus Charlie could see his older sister clearly on the young Black. Charlie is the last living family her mother has. Growing up with Draco Malfoy, she never get to learn anything about her mother's life and Charlie was her connection to Luna Swan before she became Luna Black.

"Uncle I've missed you."

"Well you surely grew up too fast." Charlie said as they broke away from their hug together. "This is my daughter Isabella. She's staying with us too."

Aquila turned happily towards the brunet who gave her a bored look. "Hiyah Isabella! I'm Aquila Callisto Black, nice to meet you!"

"Just Bella." Her cousin answered then shook her hand hesitantly.

Their drive home was awkward. Aquila and Sirius'interaction was a lot better than Bella and Charlie's and she only met her dad when she was thirteen! Not to mention she grew up thinking he's a mass murderer and a lunatic. She can see how Charlie tries to interact with Bella while the young Swan is doing her best to avoid her father.

'You're lucky enough to have your father alive right beside you. Cherish him.' that's what she'd been wanting to tell Bella but then she can't just butt in and tell her what to do. They just met and it was clear that Bella wants nothing to do with her.

After Charlie led Bella to her room, he guided Aquila to the attic. The ceiling was not too low with two glass windows where the bed faces, there's a mini built in shelf in the wall, a cute table beside the bed, an elegant looking mirror, a cozy chair, a place where I can hang some polaroids, a built in closet and a desk with a couple of drawers. The colors were red and gold, it looks cozy and so... Gryffindor.

"I..uh...tried to make it as Gryffindor as I can because you said you're a Gryffindor and your mom was also a Gryffindor. But...if you want to change some things I can--"

"No no. We don't have to change anything uncle Charlie. I love it. It feels like home. Thank you so much!" Aquila said while hugging Charlie tightly. The older Swan chuckled. This girl really acted like his sister.

"You know most of these things are your mom's. I...kept everything that I can." Aquila's eyes watered after hearing her uncle's words.

"That made everything feels a million times better." She said, hugging him tighter.

"Aquila Callisto Black, come down here this instant." Charlie called his niece.

He had just given Bella her truck when another truck came to deliver a motorcycle under Aquila's name. He almost had a heart attack after seeing what it looks like.

Aquila glided down the staircase, eyes lighting up after seeing what had just arrived. "Oh! Oh! It's here! It's here!" She jumped giddily.

"Hold on a minute young lady. Are you planning to ride that deathtrap?" Charlie asked.

"Uncle C relax. It's not a deathtrap. It's THE Honda CBR600RR. And it looks cool!" Charlie shook his head seeing his niece's excitement.

"Are you sure you can handle that?" He eyed the motorcycle wearily.

"Aye! It's not dangerous, I swear to Godr--ehem-- God." She cleared her throat after realizing that they're not alone. A tall, dark and handsome boy that looks younger than her stood beside Bella while Charlie stood beside a man sitting on a wheelchair who looks like an older version of the boy. "Hello! I'm Aquila Black!" She waved at the two men.

"I'm Billy and that's my son Jacob." The older man said.

"Woah your surname is Black? I'm a Black too!" Jacob said.

"Well well well. I do hope we're not relate so that you won't have the Black madness, which is quite popular in my family. You know family history of insanity is quite hereditary so you should be safe." Aquila joked which made the men laugh while her cousin rolled her eyes.

Maybe this is a good idea. A break from the chaotic wizarding world and the stupid war. Maybe Aquila can use this time to heal. She had lost her boyfriend, father and headmaster in the span of three years. Maybe she can finally focus on herself rather than the burden of the magical world. Maybe she could be happy again.
