1900 years ago
It's getting dark but the rain is still pouring heavily as if the sky's crying for the lives that was lost in the still currently on going war
"your highness the queen is in labor" a maid rush outside
"Xiao Xian go protect the queen" ordered the king to the man fighting beside him
"yes your highness" the man replied as he run inside the castle killing anyone that comes his way as the king continued to lead his army outside fighting despite the heavy rain
"Xiao Xian what should we do?" a woman approach the man carrying a small sleeping boy in her arms, it was his wife and his only son
Xiao Xian didn't have time to answer the woman as they heard the crying of a new born child inside the Queens chamber and the two rushed inside
"your highness" the two greeted the weak woman lying on the bed
"take him, hide him, send him somewhere far, far away from here" the queen said looking at the newly cleaned child that she didn't even dare to hold him
"but queen" Xiao Xian was about to decline when the queen look at him full of authority
"do it" the queen said and the man then carried the now sleeping new born and both bowed before the queen before they left the chamber
The moment they were out the queen couldn't hold her tears anymore, she wants to order them to stop but she couldn't, she couldn't put her son's life in danger
'please forgive your mother' she cried as the servants help her clean up and heal her
"send them both to the portal" the king ordered as Xiao Xian went and consult the king
"take care of my son" the king pleaded and Xiao Xian can only nod as he pulled his wife to where the portal was located but before they can reach there, there were already several men surrounding them and Xiao Xian protectively stood up in front of his wife while he tightens his hold on the king's son
A fight broke out as he pushed her wife towards the portal
"go I'll follow" he shouted and the woman with a heavy heart hugged the still sleeping child in her arms as she cried, she then cast a magic around his son
"mom and dad love you so much" she cried and kiss her son's forehead one last time before she pushed her son on the portal and joined her husband in the fight
While Xiao Xian continued to fight with the king's son still in his arms when he finally manage to kill the enemies his body also gave up on him and he laid there with the new born baby in his arms and his wife on his side
The rain was still pouring hard as the cry of the baby was heard in the midst of the rain. Somewhere in the darkness some shadows lurking around awakened by the loud cries of the baby as one of them went and took the baby from Xiao Xian's arms and both disappeared into the darkness, as they disappeared the cries of the baby also disappeared as if it wasn't there from the very beginning.
In that dark, tragic and cold night two children disappeared one was taken somewhere and one was sent away they didn't know. Many blood was sacrificed to the meaningless fight for the throne and control over the kingdom
"your highness we found general Xiao Xian and his wife near the portal no kids were found there except them and several dead bodies of the enemies" one of the soldier reported
"are they alright?" the queen worriedly ask as the Xiao's wasn't just a loyal servant of them but also their friends which they treat as their family
"the healer's tried to heal them but general Xiao was said to be in a comma while his wife was already healed and was recovering" the soldier reported and the king dismissed him then the two went to where the two was said to be in
"your highness king and queen" Mrs. Xiao weakly greeted the two
"please don't force your self Fei" the queen gently helped her sit up
"how are you?" the queen ask
"I feel good now but my poor husband" Mrs. Xiao starts to cry as the queen pulled her in her embrace
"he'll be fine he'll wake up soon don't worry" the queen comforted while the king watch them
"how abut your son?" Mrs. Xiao ask all of a sudden
"didn't you send him somewhere with your son?" ask the king
"we couldn't as the enemies came and closed the portal before we can send him when we finally killed them all, we didn't have the energy to open the portal anymore" Mrs. Xiao explained looking down as she knew she failed to protect their son
"then where is my son?" the king ask starting to feel panic
"I'm so sorry your highness" she apologized but the queen stopped her from moving
"my son was alive I can feel it don't worry we'll find him and how about your son?" ask the queen gently
"I manage to push him on the portal before it totally closed" Mrs. Xiao replied feeling guilty and relieved at the same time
"don't feel bad and just focus on your recovery" the queen comforted her but deep inside the queen was hurting knowing her son was missing
Both the queen and the king wasn't blaming them as they know they did their best to protect their child they just wish that wherever their child is he is safe and alive and as long as they can feel that their child was alive they won't lose any hope
