Bruce Wayne's deep brown eyes met hers as he was analysing her from head to toe.
Her whole appearance seemed pure, calming, and almost fragile. If she could shatter in millions of pieces by just looking at her, but at the same time, a mysterious urge forced him to imprint her appearance into his mind.
She reminded him of an angel sent by God to bring its light into this dark world.
"It is my pleasure to finally meet you in person, Rosè." The billionaire extended his hand to the young lady.Rosè, better known as Rosè Ackermann, was the owner of the biggest competitor to Wayne Enterprises - the Ackermann Group.
A multi-billion company which is specialised in weapons and warfare. Furthermore, was she the founder of Evergarden Chemicals, the market leaders in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals.
"The pleasure is mine, Bruce." The way she took his hand was warm and welcoming. It felt... familiar, like home, or a warm glass of hot chocolate on a stormy winter night. Both Rosè and Bruce have lost their parents at a very young age and inherited a big international company. They took the position as ceo with the age of 18 to keep the glory legacy of their parents' companies going.
It was a prophecy forced upon them and a devastating burden on their shoulders.
"It was a nice surprise to see your name on my meetings today, Mr. Wayne." She led him through the door right to her desk.
The headquarters of the Ackermann Group was kept very simple and minimalistic. Nevertheless, it showed off immense presence and power through its architecture and name.
The names Wayne and Ackermann were the tickets to literally everything your heart desired. Everyone knew those names and the power it came with."I assume you came here to discuss our previous correspondence. " The way she spoke was mesmerising. It took Bruce completely over and threw him in a deep, blurry sea, which almost let him forget the matter of his appointment.
The young heiress couldn't take her water blue eyes off of him. The way Bruce sat there in her chair with his impressive presence. Everything on him was impressive. Starting with his suit, his coat and even his watch, which got revealed during their handshake, must cost a fortune. Further to his demeanour was the feeling of self-confidence and self-assurance he gave her.
But nothing unusual for the head of the house Wayne and the owner of Wayne Enterprises. He couldn't help it but smile at the woman in front of him. "Indeed. As i already mentioned before, I'd like to discuss a potential partnership between Wayne Enterprises and Ackermann Group. You and me, both of us, have similar minds when it comes to our vision and change for Gotham and our companies, and I believe that we could benefit from joining our forces together. With the amount of wealth and power that both of our companies have, I think we can do some real good for our city."
The look in his eyes as he talked about a better Gotham mesmerised her. With his look, he almost made her throw all her calm and calculating nature overboard and want to agree on his matter without any further consideration. "That must be the same feeling dad's get when looking at their princess eyes." She thought, something so pure and powerful it became almost evil.
"That sounds like a great idea. Some time ago, I also thought about joining the forces. How did you imagine our partnership?"
"I was thinking about a 50/50 partnership, especially when it comes to management decisions and profit. So, both of us would be in charge. We will combine our expertise and skills to work together towards a better gotham. This way, not only we will benefit from each other's experience and knowledge, but also Gotham. "
Rosè laughed happily. She would probably have come to his office herself in the near future and put the exact same offer on the table. "I'm glad we have the same future for our companies in mind. That's my number. I'll discuss it with my directors borad about it and call you next week. If not, feel free to contact me."
A week later, Bruce sat in his office, a sleek black space atop the Wayne Enterprises building, overlooking Gotham City. The sun was setting, casting long paintings in the sky with hues of orange and purple. His thoughts wandered back to his meeting with Rose Ackermann. There was something about her that lingered in his mind - her calm, yet powerful presence, the way she seemed both fragile and unbreakable.
The sudden buzz of his phone pulled him from his reverie.
It was Rose.
"Hey Bruce, I have good news," her lovely voice came through the speakers of hos phone. "My board of directors were very pleased when I told them about our meeting. I have already called my lawyer in to prepare all necessary documents."
Bruce leaned back in his chair, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "That's great to hear, Rose. I knew they'd see the potential in this partnership."
"Now that we have the approval from both sides, we can make this official. I'll send over the documents once my legal team finishes reviewing them. After that, we can meet again to finalize everything."
Bruce could almost hear her smile through his phone, which made mit smile as well. "Looking forward to it," Bruce said, his voice steady but his mind once again drawn to the image of Rose, standing in her office smiling. There was something about her... something he couldn't quite place.
As the call ended, Bruce stared out at the city once more. A partnership between Wayne Enterprises and the Ackermann Group... It was going to change everything.
He had a sense that this was just the beginning of something far bigger than either of them could imagine.
