Chapter 9

"This is the Make It or Break It game for today. As you know, we are here in this very big field outside the studio exclusively for this shoot.

"If your team wins this game guys, you will be the winner of our show today and the winner of our princess' heart over there."

"Get the locks please!"

As soon as Emma said that, one of the staff approached me and asked me to hold my hands together. After that, she tied my wrists with a chain that had 5 hanging locks. If not for the show, I could've killed Emma already. Aish, she and her games.

"We will have our last game for today and the objective of this game is to free Princess Yani over there. As you can see, there's 5 locks hanging on the chains tied around her wrists. There are 5 keys to unlock the chains which you have to find in our obstacle course right in front of you."

"All four of you have 10 minutes to find the 5 keys and if you don't, well....see the platform over there?" The four nodded.

"After 10 minutes, if you don't free her and run away from that platform, our princess for today will fall into the big aquarium we've prepared once the platform collapses."

Okay, I forgot to tell you that. I'm now standing on a platform controlled by some machine backstage on top of a gigantic aquarium and if they don't find the keys, into the water I go. Huhuhuhu *cries* This wasn't included in the contract.

"Timer...starts...now!"

The four of them ran towards the sand box and started digging for the key. They looked like little boys playing in a sand box just like the old times.

After that though, they looked really dirty. And when I say that, I really mean it. There was sand all over their prince suits and their pants too. Actually, they look so cute.

Jude found the key and ran to me. He unlocked the first lock and earned his team one point and I thanked him sincerely. He just gave me a faint smile and left quickly.

The next stop is a clown who made a deal with them. If they solve his riddle, he'll give him the key.

"Yah Jude, you're the smart one. You should know this!"

"I don't like riddles..." He pouted.

"Don't blame him okay? We all want to save her, don't we?" My heart raced at what Sean said. No, Yani. You can't. They don't mean it. It's just all for show. It's all just for show.

"Riddle one: What is as big as you are but does not weight anything?"

"W-what?! Big as I am?"

"Um...um...shadow!" Aiden got the correct answer.

"Riddle two: You can hold it without using your hands or arms. What is it?"

"Music?"

"Air?"

"Aish, you can't hold air!"

"Breath!" Aiden got the correct answer again and all of LucK looked at hi suspiciously as he danced like a little kid who won a candy.

"Riddle three: What is the longest word in English?"

"Smarty pants should know that..." Jerome snorted.

"It's Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis."

"Nope."

"What 'nope'?! This clown is getting on my nerves."

"I know, it's smiles!"

"How did it become smiles?" Jude questioned Aiden's answer.

"Because there's a mile in between the two Ss." The clown answered and laughed at Jude's face. Poor Jude. "Here's your well deserved key, Aiden." The clown gave Aiden the key and he quickly ran to me. All the other members looked at him in awe.

"I didn't know you were into riddles."

"Miss Yani, just because I'm the youngest prince doesn't mean I'm worthless." He kissed the back of my hand and smiled mischievously.

They got the 3rd key and the 4th key after some time but I couldn't help feeling anxious. My legs started shaking as I looked at the timer displayed on the big screen. It says exactly 1:00. If they don't find the last key, I'm gonna be soaking wet. My hair will be ruined, this dress will be ruined, this whole moment is going to be ruined. Who knows, maybe CEO is gonna scold all five of us too.

Lots of things were going though my head, I didn't realize the timer's down to 30 seconds and they're still struggling to get the key. I closed my eyes and looked down to provide my troubled face. You can say I'm over-thinking but if you're in my situation right now, won't it be scary to fall on an aquarium ten times as big as you?

Someone started meddling with the chains on my wrists but I didn't bother to look who was doing it. In my head, all I could think of is 'please please please get me out of here'.

I felt someone's arms around me and I believe that I'm being carried by someone right now. We made it. It all happened so fast.

"Our princess has been saved!"

As I open my eyes slowly, the face I see is...
