Behir bring Pari to the centre of the hall.
Bela: Pari, blow the candles.
Pari blows them with her little mouth making everyone smile. And then the trio cut cake together while everyone sing "Happy Birthday". Pari eats the cake and licks her hand liking the flavour of it.
Bela (in mind): You are so like your father.
Mahir: Bela, are you thinking the same what I am thinking?
Bela smiles and nods in yes. Behir then gift Pari with a huge box and she jumps in happiness seeing a large blue colour teddy bear inside it.
Pari: Mama ... This is the same teddy I saw in mall that day.
Bela: I know baby. That's why I bought this for you. Do you like it?
Pari: I LOOOOVVVEEE IT. I LOVE YOU MORE MAMA. THANK YOU.
Everyone then gift Pari who jumps in happiness seeing so many gifts around her. She then goes to Bela and asks, " Maa, can I open the gifts now? "
Bela: No Pari. We will open it in the evening. Till then go and play with your friends.
Pari: Mama ... ( Rubs on her stomach indicating she is hungry )
Bela: do you want some cake?
Pari (excited) : Yes!!
Bela: You go and sit with your friends. I will bring cake for all of you.
Pari: Ok mama.
Bela then makes the servant cut cake into pieces and takes few to Pari and her friends.
Friend 1: Pari, your papa is so handsome.
Pari: I know. He looks the best. And you know when he is very happy?
Friend 2: When?
Pari: When he sees Mama smiling. He loves mama a lot.
Friend 3: Does your mama loves papa?
Pari: Of course. She loves him a lot. She takes care of papa just like she takes care of me.
Friend 1: Wow. You are very lucky.
Bela smiles hearing their talks and serves them cake. Everyone say thank you to her. Bela then signs a servant to look after the kids and goes to meet the guests.
Guest 1: Mrs. Sehgal, I must really appreciate you for your child's upbringing. I saw how she came to you and asked your permission to open gifts. Not every child has that.
Bela: Thank you.
Guest 2: Yes. And she is so disciplined. She doesn't make much mess like the children of her age.
Bela: Actually, she learnt her discipline from her father. Mahirji taught her how to behave in front of guests and relatives.
Guest 1: Oh you are talking about Mahir.... I thought how is it possible that Pari learnt her discipline from her father.
Bela's face falls but Sumitra puts her hand around Bela's shoulder and says, " Who else did you think Bela was talking about? We all know that Mahir is Pari's father. "
Guest 3: But we heard that few years back Bela and....
Sumitra cuts her words in between and says, " Mrs. Mehta, why are you taking stress thinking about all those baseless and meaningless talks. You came to the party so enjoy. No need to talk about all those things. ( To Bela ) Come with me. Lets make the children play some games. "
Bela then calls all the children to the centre of hall and make children play some games. Soon the party gets over.
Later that night, Bela comes to her room from kitchen after completing her works and opens her cupboard to take her night dress when she finds a box there with a gift wrap and her name written on it. She opens the box to find a beautiful necklace inside.
Bela turns around to see Mahir standing with a sweet smile on his face.
Bela: You bought this, right?
Mahir: Yes. I hope you liked it.
Bela: Mahir ji, what is the need of it?
Mahir: Of course there is a need Bela. Today is not just our daughter's birthday. Today you were born as well... As a mother. You deserve much more than this.
Bela smiles and thanks him. She then takes the necklace and tries wearing it but isn't able to hook it. So Mahir goes near her and helps her wear it.
Mahir: I knew this necklace is made for you only.
Bela: Stop it Mahirji.
She goes towards Sumitra's room and to show them the necklace but stops when she hears them talking.
Sumitra: We didn't have another option so we made our son marry Bela. It gave a good life to Pari... But, I sometimes feel we did injustice to our son.
Andy: Why Sumi? Bela is such a good daughter-in-law and very good mother. Why do you feel such?
Sumitra: You are right. Bela is a good daughter-in-law and very good mother. But till today, she couldn't become a wife of Mahir. She might be doing all ceremonies as his wife but she didn't let Mahir become her husband in true sense. I can still see the gap between them.
Andy: Sumi, Bela told us about this the day we made her agree to marry Mahir. She even conveyed the same to Mahir and he has no problem with that. So why are you taking stress?
Sumitra: Mahir might not show but I can clearly see in his eyes that his love for Bela is increasing day by day and I am unable to see him in pain.
Bela gets shocked and takes a step back. She slowly walks away to the basement and opens the storeroom. She then opens a bag inside it and takes out an album. Making a place for herself on the floor, she opens the album and looks at the happy pictures in it while her tears keep flowing through her eyes.
Bela: I miss you Varun.
