Teach Me

During the afternoons when Mike and his friends get out of school and after I get off work. They would all come over and play D&D. The first few games I observed and asked questions.

I continued to watch until they ended the game. The next game I joined and to my surprise, and everyone else's, I was really good. I played this game in all of my free time.

After many many weeks of playing and leveling up I was given the opportunity to sub for Lucas while he played the final basketball. I was nervous for Mike and Dustin to tell Eddie I would be the sub. He seemed sweet but would he want me to play D&D with him.

I showed up to the campaign. Immediately everyone looked at me, Eddie stood up. "Dustin...Mike..." he smiled "Y/n...." then looked back at Mike and Dustin "Where is your sub?" they look at me. I shyly smile, Eddie glances at me "Sorry beautiful but i'm not sure if I want you playing D&D with me. Im not sure if you even know how to play."
Mike speaks up "Shes been practicing and is as good, if not better than Lucas."
Eddie walks closer to me and looks me up and down "Is that so?"
I nod "Words princess."
I take a breath and confidently say "Yes, thats so."
he smirks and reaches out to shake my hand "Alright, m'lady." he swings around and walks back to his chair, that looks more like a throne. He sits and stares at me.

I strangely liked him calling me princess even though I wasn't much on pet names. But him saying it was different. We play the game and to Eddie's surprise my roll of the dice wins the game.

Everyone cheers and Eddie leans over the table and swings his arms out in a crossing manner. I laugh and he whispers "Good job, princess." I blush and give him a smile. I stay after with Eddie making sure everyone has a ride home.

Im taking Mike and Dustin home with me because they all are having a sleepover. Everyone leaves and the boys are in the car. Its just Eddie and I cleaning up the rest of the mess from the campaign.

I feel someone staring at me, I look over at Eddie. He looks me up and down and smirks. I laugh "Still surprised I won the game?" he shakes his head no "Never doubted you for a second." I roll my eyes "Sure." he slowly walks over to me, my heart is beating out of my chest.

He stands in front of me and whispers "You're so beautiful." I blush and whisper "You're not too bad either." he smirks "Is that so?" I smile "It is." he places hand on my cheek and pushes my hair behind my ear. He pulls me into a kiss. He pulls back and I lean in for more.

He giggles "Sorry princess. Im gonna have to cut it short, we can continue this if you would want to go on a date with me?" I roll my eyes and giggle "Sure, i'll go on a date with you. When?" he shrugs "Friday afternoon alright?" I nod my head and say "Sounds good. Pick me up at my house, my address is 2530 Piney Wood Lane." I smile and we walk out to my car.

I get into my car and sigh. Mike looks at disgusted and I giggle. I drive home stopping on the way home for snacks for the sleepover. We get home and I go up to my room. I lay in my bed and try to read but all I can think about is Eddie. I cant seem to get him out of my mind.

The week couldn't be going by any slower. I wanted it to be Friday already. I work at Family Video with Steve and Robin and for some reason business was so slow this week. By the time I got into work Steve had already told Robin about Eddie.

There was nothing serious going on yet and Steve didn't even know Eddie and I had a date Friday. Well thats the only thing Robin wanted to talk about. Steve was at the counter while Robin and I were putting away movies.

Robin walks up to me and whispers "Y/n?"
I look at her "Yeah"
she glances at Steve then continues talking to me "I need to tell you something."
I sigh "What's up?"
she pulls me closer "Steve likes you a lot. He's heart broken that you are with Eddie."
I laugh "Steve does not like me."
she gives me a serious look "Yeah he does. Im not telling you that to stop you from dating Eddie, just thought I would tell you so that if Steve gets upset with you. You know why."
it finally clicks that she actually being serious "Oh umm okay. Ill keep that in mind, thanks for telling me" I look at Steve who is already looking at me.
