"And everybody's watching her
But she's looking at you."

Callista threw a third dress onto her bed and scowled, plopping down onto Fallon's bed as she stared at her options.

"Just wear this one," Fallon said, holding up the shorter green dress that fell to her mid-thighs.

"I can't wear that. It's way too short."

She shrugged and put the dress down.

Callista picked up the dress and returned it to her cupboard. "This is a formal event."

"I know. Gen is already forcing me to go with her."

Genevieve was already in a lavender dress that cascaded down her legs and reached her ankles. She looked like a fairy that had wandered out of the forbidden forest, especially paired with her short hair and dark lipstick. "This one will be better. It's a party not a dinner."

"Yes, you can leave as soon as Slughorn starts getting tipsy, and then he won't even notice."

Fallon looked over the other two dress options. "Wear this one." She pointed at the black dress that fell to her mid-calves. It was an A-line dress and had sleeves that were off-the-shoulder and were drawn back into a bow behind the dress.

She stared at it. She will be late if she did not make a decision. She nodded. "Okay. I will wear that dress."

They made their way down the stairs and Callista winked at a few first and second years who turned to gawk at their dresses. She laughed when one of them went red.

Rabastan was waiting on one of the armchairs for them. Him and Callista would be attending together, to further cement the image of happy couple.

"Hey," he waved.

Fallon scowled at him. "Can we go already? The longer we stay here, the longer I have to put up with this party."

Callista laughed. "Alright let's go." She took the arm Rabastan offered her and the two of them walked out of the common room, followed by Genevieve and Fallon.

By the time the four of them arrived, the party was already in full swing. They seemed to be the last ones to arrive. Not that Callista cared, it made their entrance more dramatic as everyone turned to look who arrived.

Slughorn walked, or rather hobbled, up to them. Fallon muttered under her breath, "He's already drunk, can I go?"

Genevieve replied with a slap to the arm before plastering on a smile to great Slughorn.

"Evening, Professor," they all greeted him.

"Oh hello, welcome, welcome." Slughorn led them further into the party, offering them refreshments. "Enjoy!" He said before wobbling off to talk to more guests.

Fallon tried to make a dash for the door but Genevieve dragged her back and forced her to the food table. "Twenty minutes, and then you can leave."

She made a face at Callista and Rabastan before turning around and following her to the table.

Callista looked around. She spotted James and, she could not believe it, Lily Evans. She was laughing at something James had said.
