And soon the match began
Bokuto seemed to be more energetic than usual.
It was quite a pleasant sight to see, he was much more focused than I've ever seen him in the past few days.
He wasn't in his usual goofy mode and this side of him was kinda cool.
Team Nekoma wasn't pleased to see this side of him tho,
From what Kyoko told me, it was always hard for Nekoma to deal with Fukurodani.
Especially when Bokuto Koutarou is not in his emo mode, I'm yet to see that mode.Set one ended with a scoreboard figure of 25 -17.
Fukurodani completely dominated Nekoma in the first set.I let out a loud cheer for Fukurodani high-fying Tsubasa, who also was very happy with the win.
And as for Kyoko, she let out a small sigh but joined in our celebration anyways.Kou saw us cheering for him and he passed me a wide grin letting out a boisterous, "HEY HEY HEY"
Akaashi smirked at Kuroo making him even madder than he already was, what a beautiful sight to see.
For once someone is annoying the 'annoying kid'.
But I do feel bad for the rest of the teammates.Kuroo was very frustrated. All of the team members were baffled. But Kenma seemed to be very calm and composed to me.
During the whole match, Kenma had his sharp gaze on every move Kou makes. As if mentally taking a note of everything.Coach Nekomata took a timeout and all the boys grouped around Kenma may be rethinking their strategy.
And then Set 2 began.
It wasn't as bad as it was in set 1, maybe Kenma's plan was working.
Nekoma seemed to be doing better than before.
The rotation of the team was changed, Yamamoto, Kenma and Lev stood in the front lines while Yaku, Kuroo and Fukunage were in the back lines.
This rotation worked better than the earlier one, they managed to block a few attacks from Fukurodani's spiker but Akaashi covered up for them with dump shots.
Still, the situation was going out of hand for Fukurodani during this set.
Nekoma was leading the scoreboard with point figures of 17-20.
The members of the opposing team weren't very surprised by the situation as if they completely expected Nekoma to bounce back.
Kuroo was too very focused than before, I expected to see his dumb smirk while they were dominating the court but it wasn't the case right now. Maybe he's not his egoistic and overconfident self when he is on the court.
The Nekoma fans cheered as loud as they could to boost their team's probability to win, which was helping.
Nekoma won the second set by not much of a big difference but it was still a win, the scores ended up looking like 23-25.Nekoma wasn't quite happy to win this because Even after they won, Bokuto still didn't manage to lose his calm. According to the whispers, this was always the case when Bokuto wasn't in the spotlight he would throw tantrums and spoil his form.
Everyone was seeing his new side today, which genuine made me curious too about him and volleyball. The sport absolutely piqued my interest.
Bokuto staying in his best form was the biggest fear for every team in Tokyo.
And because of that Nekoma didn't want to underestimate their opponent this time.
