Chapter 2 : first introductions

Milo's pov
I suddenly wake up for a moment forgetting where I am before remembering the events of the previous day and that this is my home now.
It's still dark outside however I can't seem to fall asleep again.

Picking up my phone to check the time I quickly shut my eyes not being used to the light of the screen that hit my face as I turned it on.
The screen reads 04:27am I sigh to myself knowing falling asleep again is most likely out of the picture.

Unsure of what to do I get out of bed feeling the cold marble floor against my bare feet.
Before I could move another muscle I hear a faint melody coming from next door.
It sounded like someone was strumming a guitar.
"Why would someone be playing guitar in the middle of the night" I think to myself confused.

Eh its not that big of a deal.
Since I had time I decided to just watch some movie on my iPad until it was time to get ready. I grabbed my blue colored blanket and sat back down on the soft mattress of the bed.
Putting the blanket over my pale skinny legs as I turn on the movie.

(Time skip until it's time to do stuff because I'm lazy)

I look at the time on my phone and realized it was time to get ready.
Pausing the movie I get up and walk over to my wardrobe
"Where did I put my uniform?" I mumbled to myself rummaging through the clothes i had managed to unpack yesterday before I got too tired.

"Found it" I cheer holding up the purple and green themed uniform in my hands and smiling to myself knowing I'd be wearing the right uniform this time.
Putting on my binder and then the uniform I look at myself in the the mirror smiling to myself.
Slightly fixing my hair i grab my backpack putting it on before sitting down by the door to tie my shoes.
Quickly grabbing my phone off the charger and my headphones with it.

Taking one last glance at my new room before opening the door.
Walking down the corridor of the dorms I began feeling slightly anxious about how today was gonna go.

"You'll be fine Milo just focus on the classes" I told myself slightly calming down while taking a deep breath

The further along I walk the more people begin crowding the halls.
Putting my head down I keep walking. unsure of where I was really going.
I take a look at the paperwork in my hands
trying to find what number my locker is.

Without realizing it I had zoned out and bumped into something.
I stumbled and fell to the ground. Making a complete fool of myself.

"Hey watch where you're going freak!" The boy I assumably just bumped into yelled at me.
Looking up at him I couldn't help but notice he was especially hairy and muscular. To be honest it scared me.
"What you staring at?"
"Do I look like a freak to you human?"
He spat at me.

Frozen in place I didn't know how to react it was all so unfamiliar.
The hairy boy began walking closer towards me still on the ground.
He had a deathly glare seemingly pointed at me.

"Leave him alone Billy it's not like he's a threat to you"
An unknown voice in the crowd spoke up.
Stepping between me and the hairy boy.
The owner of the voice was rather tall with neatly styled black hair.
The moment he stepped in everything seemed to calm down.
Like everyone was too scared to mess with him.

After the boy I assume is named billy backs off the black haired boy scoffs muttering something under his breath then turning to me. Still on the ground unsure of what to do

The black haired boy crouched down to my level extending his hand.
I hesitated for a second before putting my hand in his.
"I'm sorry you had to deal with that some monsters sure have some nerve picking on the new kid"
The boy says as he pulls my short form to my feet again.
I wipe of the dirt on my uniform and look up at him.

"My names Nathan what about you?"
He speaks looking at me intently.
"Um..I'm uh. I'm Milo."

"It's very nice to meet you Milo"
Nathan states before turning around and walking away.
Leaving me there speechless.

Alright this one is a bit bad and late because I've had no motivation and lowkey had writers block but if you liked it I hope I can get more and better chapters out faster anyways that's that
