Chapter 3: Nathan

Nathan's pov
"Hey Nate, sup man?" I hear the familiar voice of one of my oldest friends Kai yell as he runs up to me.
"I'm doing fine" I say not looking at Kai. Staying focused on the hallway currently crowded with students.
The boy I had just met still crowded my head.

"Have you met the new kid? rumors say he's human, can you believe it?"
Kai starts rambling
"Yeah I met him" I cut him off coldly wanting to avoid the subject.
I sigh and keep walking to our first class of the day
Kai shoots me a glance trying to figure out what I was thinking.
"Have you found a singer for the band yet"
Kai asks as if he was trying to change the topic.
His red eyes wide with curiosity and his hair the same white mess as always.
I can't help but let out a short laugh at the sight of his excitement.
"No I haven't I was actually hoping you had" I answer his question rubbing the back of my neck.
He laughs with me for a bit until we've noticed that we're at the right classroom.

We both walk inside catching everyones attention in the process.
together we sit down next to each other in the back corner of the semi crowded dull classroom.
I switch my attention to the small birds outside the window for a moment zoning out as the other students still enter the classroom.

I feel Kai's cold hand tap my shoulder lightly
Everyone was staring at the figure by the classroom door and whispering among themselves
"Nate is that?" Was all Kai could murmur out in his worried tone.

"Is that the new human student?" Some girl in front of us said to her friends.

I look up to see Milo standing just inside the classroom door looking around as if he was unsure where to sit.
"His name is Milo"
Was all I said to Kai,
Milo spots me and smiles walking towards the back of the classroom. taking the nearest empty seat right next to me and Kai.

Kai leans close to my ear and whispers "it's scary how much he looks like Him isn't it?"
I look at him in agreement nodding my head.
He really was the shining image of him.
