I woke up... Confused about everything.
How did I get here? Why does it feel so weird?
I slowly got out of bed. As soon as I stood up, I felt dizzy. As soon as I regained my head space, I went to open my hospital door.
It was dark, lights flickered on and off and blood was everywhere. I had to look.
I remembered the guy I hit, the motorcycle man. I had to find him, make sure he's OK.
I looked in every room. I had about ten more rooms, when I came to one with a bed in front of it. I slid the bed over gently, and opened the door.
I saw him.... I looked on the board and there was no name for him, he looked really bad. Almost worse then how I felt about hitting him.
I walked up to his bed and looked at him. I needed help, I didn't know what was going on, but I needed his help. I shook him, and shook him. Finally after a big shake, he started moving.
"Hello?" He opened his eyes a bit. He started moving his fingers, and finally opened his eyes all the way.
"Sir, are you ok? Can you sit up? Are you feeling all right?" I asked frantically, trying not to think about what I saw in the hallway.
He slowly sat up, and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just slid over the top of a car. I would hate to be the asshole that ran me over." He said gruffly.
"I'm sorry." I said. "What are you sorry for? It wasn't your fault." He said looking up at me. "Actually, it was. I was the asshole that ran you over. Again, I am so so sorry." I said tears forming at the brim of my eyes.
He pulled me over to sit beside him. "Why'd you run me over?" "I..I didn't mean too. My..my sister Maggie and I, we..um we got in a fight, and I was pissed. I guess, I wasn't paying attention. I'm so sorry." I said crying. "Hey, its okay. I mean, could've not run me over but, ya know. I'm Daryl, why don't we get a nurse and leave?"
I shook my head. "Daryl, something's happened. I don't know what, but there is no one in this hospital besides us. There is blood, all over the walls, and everything. I'm Beth, but something happened. Daryl, we have to stick together through everything, no matter what happened." He nodded
"Come on. Let's go find some clothes, and figure out what's going on." I nodded and helped him get up.
