Tracy's POV
(not edited)After the hard stares between my dad and Kyle, Julia decided to leave, along with Micheal.
Kyle stayed for a while, helping me clean up a bit. My dad went directly to his office.
"I just don't get it." said Kyle.
"What don't you get?" I asked. He passed me some dryed dishes.
"Why doesn't your father like me?"
We both stopped what we were doing. He looked at me. Resting his hipbone on the edge of the counter and with his arms crossed.
I gave him a shrug.
"I have no clue." I responded.
"Have you ever asked him?"
"Um, no. Not really."
"Aren't you curious to know the reason why he hates me?"
I kept quiet. I did wanted to know why my dad didn't like him like other guys, but he wouldn't open to me so simply.
"I don't think he hates you. He's just stressed."
"Yeah, keep telling yourself that." he murmured.
I didn't answer him. I know he was getting pissed, so i get kept washing dishes.

When we finished cleaning, I thanked Kyle for helping and he left to his house.Maybe now was my chance to get information.
So I went to my dad's office.
I found him on his computer, typing in something. I walked over to sit in front of his desk."Ehem." I coughed out.
He took his eyes off the screen but kept his fingers on the keyboard. His stare was cold.
"Did you need something?" he asked.
"Um, actually I have a question.""Okay, what is it?" He turned to put all his attention at me.
"Well, I was asking myself, why don't you like Kyle?" It almost sounded like a whisper, that I thought he didn't even hear it.
He just kept quiet, like looking for the right words to say. He pulled his hands together and placed on top of his desk, took a breath and said.
"Tracy, Kyle is different from the people that we are normally with. He is not from a well economize family like us."
"So what you're saying is that, because he's not rich like us, you don't like him?"
"In sort of a way, yes."
"But that doesn't give you the power to just hate him. He's a nice guy with good thoughts. Isn't that what matters?"
I was starting to get frustrated with him. How he could say that about him? He hasn't gave himself to meet him.
"In part yes, it does. But in our society it doesn't." he says. "And a good thing you brought this up. I don't want you seeing him so often. You're almost out of highschool and you have to concentrate on your future with the company."
Oh no. He did not just say that.
"What do you mean, my future with the company?" I asked disconcerted.
"When you finish highschool, you will have to prepare yourself to marry one of my associates sons."
"What! No! You can do this to me. I want to study college after I graduate, not marry some random guy."
"Tracy. You will do what I say, it has been like this in our business and forever will be." he said firmly.
I couldn't take what he just said to me. I already felt the tears gathering in my eyes, and wanting to get out.
So leaving him there in silent, I left to my room. I dropped myself to my bed, letting the darkness comfort me while I cry out of a bad dream..................................
