the walk to jimin's house felt strange to jungkook. there was some sort of tension built up in the air that he just couldn't place his finger on.
he felt stupid, he felt dumb, he felt weird, so many emotions were piling up at once and he didn't know why. jungkook had tried to direct the conversation away from his old friend, but even the thought of him was enough to make jungkook sob. he needed to distract his mind from these impending thoughts.
"jimin, talk." he said sternly, still looking straight at the ground as they continued to walk.
jimin had started to ask why before jungkook cut him off, his voice shaking.
"just please, say anything, talk, please jimin." the younger pleaded.
"um ok, um," jimin paused, not really sure how to continue the conversation without triggering anything that was bothering him, "my friend, hoseok, one time peed the bed."
he thought his strange confession would make the brown haired boy's face light up just a little bit, but instead, his face scrunched up as he let his tears fall.
it was like a dam had opened inside the boy's heart. jungkook stood frozen in place as he crumped to his knees, face in hand, just bawling.
jimin felt immense guilt as he quickly dropped to his knees, hugging the boy tightly as he cried into jimin's arm. the younger leaned into jimin's touch, feeling comfort radiate through his body.
"oh my gosh, jungkook, are you okay?" jimin asked, not quite sure what to do.
"i-" jungkook tried to speak but nothing was coming out. he held his hands out in front of him, staring at them like he was trying to piece the words together.
he held them out like someone he deeply loved had just slipped out of them.
they stayed like that for a few minutes before jungkook started to lightly shake his head, his crying settling down. he said he'll talk about it later.
"come on, let's get out of here." jimin said with a pitiful smile, picking up the young boy as he wiped his tears with his hands.

jimin's hand stayed on jungkook's shoulder the whole walk to his apartment. once they reached the place, jungkook was stunned by how nice and clean it looked. the whole place was covered with white walls and white furniture. there was a tv placed in the living room, playing random youtube videos. jungkook's eyes then scanned the kitchen, examining all the white cooking utensils before dragging his eyes over to a boy, who looked to be around jimin's age, staring back at him with wide eyes.
jungkook tried to smile, but no emotion took form on his face.
before the boy on the couch could ask any questions, jimin had a hold of jungkook's wrist and was dragging him and his suitcase down a hallway and into an even cleaner bedroom.
the bedroom wasn't all white, it had accents of yellow around the room, with a huge picture of a sunflower handing over the bed.
that bed looks so cozy, jungkook found himself thinking.
there were light brown drawers in the corned of the room and a nightstand with a couple of books and a gray lamp sitting on it. at the end of the room, there was a huge window reaching from the ceiling to the floor and taking up half of the wall. it was draped with see-through white curtains. there was also a laundry basket in the corner of the room. it was completely empty.
he either doesn't wear clothes, or he's washing them, jungkook also thought as he kept scanning the room, not even noticing that jimin had sat down on the bed, watching jungkook with a warm smile.
